WRP POWER BOXES

WRP Power Box is an additional add-on module which is managed by an internal microprocessor allowing modification to the ignition timing and injection on motorbikes therefore allowing improved performance. WRP Power Box easily connects to the bike via a simple specific wiring loom which connects to the original ECU. The WRP power box has a unique USB connection to a PC which allows the mapping of the WRP Power Box via a laptop/PC by the user friendly WRP Power Box Professional Software for easy download of modified maps.The WRP Power Box are particularly enhanced by aftermarket modifications such as exhaust systems and air filter. Rapid Bikes state-of-the-art technology ranks WRP Power Box amongst the most advanced add-on motorbike mo-dules available on the market today. But above all its modularity transforms simply by changing the map/parameters in the relevant WRP Power Box whether it’s WRP1, WRP2 or WRP3 according to the customers requirements and replacing the original bike specific wiring loom and purchasing a new wiring loom for the new motorbike - it is as simple as that!Modularity is not only for the dyno/tuner/dealer but for the final customer too, by simply changing the wiring loom and updating the WRP power box with a new map suitable for the new bike and its modification. We of course re-commend that any changes that are made to the bike would need to be set up on a dyno for 100% correct tuning of the bike. CENTRALINE AGGIUNTIVE WRP POWER BOXES

Il modulo WRP Power Box è una centralina aggiuntiva a microprocessore che permette di variare l’anticipo e la quantità di iniezione di un motociclo. La connessione alla centralina originale della moto avviene tramite connettori originali a tutto vantaggio di un’installazione semplice e veloce. Il cablaggio, inoltre, è fornito di un’apposita uscita per il collegamento della centralina aggiuntiva al PC tramite un cavo di connessione USB. In pochi secondi, colle-gando la centralina al PC è possibile programmare la centralina per ogni moto, scaricare le mappe e modificarle con il software professionale, fino ad ottenere il massimo dalla propria moto. Le modifiche allo scarico e al filtro dell’aria sono così sempre assecondate dalla migliore erogazione e dalla migliore mappatura.Oltre a possedere caratteristiche tecniche che lo rendono uno strumento all’avanguardia, WRP Power Box possie-de una particolarità unica nel suo genere: la modularità. La centralina aggiuntiva è infatti la stessa per ogni tipo di moto, e viene in seguito personalizzata su richiesta del cliente e completata con lo specifico cablaggio per la moto su cui verrà installata. Collegandosi in ingresso ai segnali di pilotaggio della centralina originale e, in uscita, direttamente agli iniettori, può variare la quantità di benzina iniettata in ogni cilindro. Può cambiare la destinazione d’uso semplicemente riprogram-mandola e associando il cablaggio opportuno. Visualizzazione in real-time della lettura mappa durante la prova. Agendo direttamente sul segnale di iniezione può effettuare qualsiasi intervento sullo stesso con valori in percentuale ed un ritardo sul segnale originale di soli 15µS. Pompa di ripresa presente per tutti i modelli di moto a listino.

Gestisce l’anticipo dell’accensione e dell’iniezione da 2300rpm, modulando il segnale pik-up in anticipo o in ritardo, oppure, se deve gestire il limitatore, replica il segnale d’iniezione, quando è in zona taglio fino a +1000rpm, leggendo l’ultimo valore della mappa, nel range originale, ed effettuando anche il taglio per il cambio elettronico.

Eliminatore sonda lambda WKLMDE 4 o superioreGli eliminatori, dal 4 in poi, sono dei micro emulatori della sonda

lambda ed inviano dei segnali compatibili alla ECU originale dei sistemi euro3, annullando le eventuali modifiche che ne deriverebbero. Oltre alle caratteristiche descritte per i tipi 1-2-3, sono fondamentali per il funzio-namento regolare anche a regimi costanti dove l’intervento della sonda lambda sarebbe nocivo all’incremento del rendimento dato dalla WRP Power Box al sistema. Inoltre in presenza di modifiche quali filtri e di sistemi completi di scarico, avere il feedback della sonda lambda diventa anche nocivo al rendimento e al regolare funzionamento del motore.

Lambda Eliminator WKLMDE 4Lambda Eliminators of type 4 and further are micro emulators of the Lambda probe on EURO3 systems. They send compatible signals to the ECU to prevent eventual modification of the signal. These types of eliminators perform as the previous types but they are also essential for a proper engine working at constant RPMs where lambda probe can mislead the efficacy of WRP Box modules. More substantially, they avoid

dangerous or harmful responses of the lambda probe signal on the engine when dramatic mechanical interventions have occurred.

Eliminatore sonda lambda WKLMDE 1-2-3Gli eliminatori tipo 1-2-3 chiudono il circuito elettrico dedicato alla sonda lambda, interponendo una resistenza che ne simula la pre-senza. Vengono quindi applicate nei sistemi euro2 e permettono l’uso di scarichi tipo Racing senza la predisposizione della sonda lambda che viene eliminata dall’impianto per uso agonistico, evi-tando in certi casi, l’anomalia registrata dalla ECU con l’accensio-ne della spia a cruscotto e una maggiore rotondità di erogazione della potenza ad andature molto basse (dai 1.800 ai 3.500 rpm da 0 a 20% tps).

Lambda eliminator WKLMDE 1-2-3The Lambda Eliminators belonging to type 1, 2 and 3 deceive the Lambda sensor simulating its signal on the electronic circuit and therefore cutting its communication. These types of eliminator are installed on Euro2 systems and allow the installation of Racing exhaust systems which are not equipped with a lambda probe for racing purposes, thus avoiding any kind of malfunction detectable by the ECU and granting a smoother power delivery at low RPMs (1.800 up to 3.500 RPMs / o up to 20% tps).

Selettore Mappe a manubrioIl selettore mappe a manubrio è un utile accessorio che abbinato alla WRP Box 3 o alla WRP Box 1 (per gli ATV) permette di cambia-re la mappatura della centralina aggiuntiva. Se la WRP Box 1 per-mette solamente di utilizzare due mappe di iniezione, con la WRP Box 3 lo switch permette di modificare il setup sia dell’iniezione che dell’anticipo. Con la WRP Box 3, spostando il selettore dalla posizione 1 alla posizione 2 o viceversa, si cambia il tipo si messa a punto che si è predeterminata nella centralina, preparando così un set alternativo si può impostare un set per l’asciutto ed uno per il bagnato, oppure con db-killer o senza.

Handlebar Map Switch (Map Switch)The handlebar Map-Switch combined with WRP Box 3 or WRP Box 1 (ATVs) allows to change the map set stored in the add-on module.On WRP Box 1, this device allows to switch between two different map sets loaded in the add-on module, whereas on WRP Box 3 the possibility to modify both injection and ignition (position 1 and 2) allows to adaptthe add-on module to specific road conditions (wet or dry road) or tospecific mechanical adjustments.

By-pass WKADORIThe by-pass WKAdORI allows to restore the original parameters of the motorbike simply disconnecting the add-on module without removing the wiring. The by-pass restores the connection between the incoming and the outcoming signal of the WRP Power Box connections managing injection and pick-up. The By-Pass is useful to detect a malfunction and to test the functioning of the wiring without removing it from the motorbike.

Quick-ShifterThis sensor is installed on the motorbike rod. When a gear is selected, the quick-shifter orders the add-on module – WRP Box 1 – 2 – 3 – to operate a cut in injection. The effect is a decrease in power delivery which allows the quick-shifter to change gear immediately regaining full power. The quick-shifter grants a substantial improvement in performances and avoids the idle moments caused by gear shifter. Can be installed on all motorbike wirings and it can be optimized by means of the software.

By-pass WKADORIIl by-pass WKAdORI permette di riportare la moto ad originale semplicemente rimuovendo dal mezzo la centralina ma non il cablaggio. Tramite l’adattato-re, vengono ripristinati i collegamenti tra gli ingressi e le uscite delle sezioni del cablaggio WRP Power Box dedicate all’iniezione e al segnale pick-up.Il by-pass è un valido strumento per testare, in caso di guasto, la funzionalità del cablaggio senza dover rimuovere l’impianto.

Sensore attivazione cambio elettronicoIl sensore, applicato sull’asta di rinvio della leva del cambio, quando viene sollecitato per inserire una marcia superiore, dà un segnale alla centralina WRP Box 1-2 o 3 che opera un taglio nella prima sequenza d’iniezione utile o, nel caso di doppia iniezione, nella sequenza del segnale della fase, in modo da avere un immediato calo di poten-za che permette al selettore di introdurre la marcia ed, istantaneamente, riprendere a piena potenza. Il sensore permette un buon incremento delle prestazioni con l’annul-lamento dei tempi morti di cambiata, anche in fase di estensione dei giri motore oltre il limitatore originale. L’accessorio è applicabile a tutti i cablaggi WRP, ed utilizzando il software, si possono regolare tutti i parametri per un funzionamento ottimale.

WRP Power Box “LITE” software

WRP Power Box LITE has been designed specifically for the final user who wants to manipolate hie/her motorbike add-on module.WRP Power Box LITE is similar to the PRO version but it has some limitations. It is therefore a safe instrument also for the inexperienced. This software only allows to increase and decrease ignition by 3°, increase injection by 30% and decrease it by 10%. RPM limiter cannot be modified. Main differences between WRP Power Box PRO and WRP Power Box LITE

WRP Power Box LITE è la versione del software specificamente pensata per l’utente finale desideroso di interagire con la propria cen-tralina. Rispetto alla versione PRO la schermata ed il prin-cipio di funzionamento sono gli stessi ad eccezione di alcu-ne limitazioni che lo rendono uno strumento più sicuro nelle mani di utenti non esperti. Tali limitazioni sono nella possi-bilità di modica dell’anticipo solamente di +/- 3° e di +30/-10% per quel che riguarda l’iniezione e sulla possibilità di modificare il limitatore di giri. di seguito una tabella riassun-tiva delle differenze principali tra i due software

Il software professionale WRP Power Box, sfruttando al massimo le potenzialità della centralina aggiuntiva, permette di ottimizzare la pro-pria moto su tutto l’arco di erogazione e assecondare efficacemente le modifiche apportate a scarichi e filtri.Una volta avviato il software, si aprirà una schermata raffigurante diverse funzioni tra cui le mappe, il relativo grafico 3d e i cursori per la modifica dei valori delle mappe sia per riga che per colonna. Le mappe sono raffigurate secondo una matrice che prevede 8 valori di percentuale di carico dell’acceleratore totalmente riprogrammabili a piacimento grazie alla funzione “Gestione Carico” e 30 valori di giri motore uguali sia per iniezione che per anticipo. Le modifiche alle mappe del WRP Power Box possono essere effettuate operando per caselle singole e/o selezionando l’area in cui si vuole agire, oppure tramite i cursori delle righe e delle colonne. La mappa dell’anticipo (ove presente) è espressa in gradi e può essere modificata a step di 0,5° sia in aumento che in decremento mentre quella di iniezione, invece, è espressa con valori numerici in percentuale indicanti la quantità di benzina che va ad aggiungersi o a sottrarsi a step dell’ 1%. La finestra “Gestione” del software permette di accedere a tutte le principali funzioni tra cui il settaggio del cambio elettronico, l’attivazione della “pompa di ripresa” e l’editor per personalizzare la configurazione delle mappe per la WRP Power Box 3 secondo le esigenze. La funzione blocca/sblocca mappe, invece, permette di salvaguardare il lavoro del preparatore o del pilota andando a criptare il contenuto della cen-tralina che diventa così inaccessibile ai terzi.

WRP Power Box “PRO” softwareThis professional software exploits at best the features of the add-on module and allows to optimize the motorbike through the whole range of power delivery and adapts the engine to eventual exhaust and filter replacements. The software will display the different functions among which the user will find the maps, the 3d chart and the vertical and horizontal bar cursor to modify the maps.Maps are displayed in charts on a 8-percentage value base for acceleration load (throttle opening). The whole range of percentages is adjustable thanks to the Manage Load function in relation to 30 steps of both injection and ignition curves. Maps can be manipulated per each single square or selecting an area or using the vertical and horizontal bar cursors. The ignition map (where available) is visualized in degrees and can be both decreased and increased by steps of 0.5° whereas the injection map is visualized in percentage values indicating the amount of fuel in addition or in subtraction by steps of 1%. The screenshot “Management” in the software gives access to all the main functions among which the setting of the quick-shifter, the correction pump activation and the “Editor” to customize the maps in the WRP Power Box 3 add- on module. The function “Block/Unblock maps”, allows to secure the tuner manipulations from copying as it scrambles the data contained inside the add-on module.

At the end of the programming procedure a message will inform that the operation has been successful and that maps are still empty. Now you can easily access the software WRP Power Box PRO and select the suitable motorbike application from the databank.

WRP Power Box “MANAGER” softwareThrough WRP Power Box MANAGER the firmware for each specific motorbike application is loaded into the add-on module. These appli-cations are named “Project” and they are selected according to motorbike model and year of production. Projects instruct the add-on mod-ule on how to work on each specific motorbike model. They also contain information on the calibration values to be used on the quick shifter and on the RPMs limiter as suggested by our WRP Power Box technical support. Programming a WRP Power Box is an easy and quick operation. Simply select the model, double click to view the firmware features and start the writing procedure clicking Send Project.

Il software MANAGER permette di caricare la centralina con il firmware per la moto su cui verrà utilizzata. Questi settaggi sono chiamati nel software “progetti” e sono contraddistinti dal modello, dall’anno del motociclo e dal tipo di WRP Power Box che si può utilizzare. Ciascun progetto oltre a fornire alla memoria della centralina le istruzioni per la specifica applicazione, fornisce anche i parametri per la gestione del cambio elettronico ed il valore di limitatore di giri che il ns. reparto tecnico suggerisce di incrementare. Programmare una centralina WRP Power Box è semplice e veloce. Occorre selezionare il modello, fare doppio clic per visualizzare le caratteristiche del firmware e avviare la procedura di scrittura con il comando “Invia Progetto”.

Al completamento della programmazione un messaggio segnala che la centralina è stata settata correttamente e che le mappe al momen-to sono a zero. Con un semplice comando si accede direttamente al software WRP Power Box PRO ed alla sua banca dati per selezionare la mappa più consona alla configurazione della moto.

Lambda modulator WRP L-MODThe WRP L-MOd offers the ability to correctly modify fuel delivery to satisfy the engine’s demand. It is managed by a microprocessor that enables the adjustment of the lambda O2 sensor signal. This offers a very simple way to address correct fuelling and maximize performance. Unlike the O2 eliminator (items WLKMdE) which eliminated the stock lambda signal sending a fixed signal instead, the WRP L-MOd reads and modulates the original lambda signal by way of the bike’s stock ECU firmware even without the need for a WRP Power Box module. It has been developed to enable the modifica-tion of the injection map below 20% throttle position (closed-loop area) on E3 models.

Modulo gestione sonda lambda WRP L-MODLa centralina WRP L-MOd offre la possibilità di correggere di quantità di benzina richiesta dal motore. Controllata da un microprocessore, permette di controllare e aggiustare il segnale di O2 ricevuto dalla son-da lambda originale. A differenza dell’eliminatore di segnale sonda (art. WLKMdE, che emettono un segnale costante) la centralina WRP L-MOd legge e modifica il segnale che la sonda lambda emette in configurazione originale, anche senza un modulo aggiuntivo WRP Power Box. Sviluppata per gestire modifiche alla mappa iniezione con apertura del comando gas inferiore al 20% su modelli moto Euro3.
