- An accompanist must not exceed 15accompaniments for any WSMA festival.Use synthesized, prerecorded, and/orcomputer software programs whenaccompanists are difficult to find.

- The soloist/a member of the ensemble isexpected to introduce the performance atWSMA District and State Festivals, includingperformer and accompanist names, name ofschool, title and composer of piece (and ifappropriate, movements being performed),and briefly describe a significant aspect ofstyle, form, technique, harmony, rhythm, ormelody in the piece.

(From the WSMA Festival Rules, section VI):- Play two contrasting movements on allmulti-movement selections unless otherinstructions are specified.

- A student may not enter the same eventmore than once unless the event is specifiedas an exception in rule VI.B.

- If the length of a selection exceeds 3/4 ofthe allotted time, the music may be cut tostay within the time limit.

- An accompanist must not exceed 15accompaniments for any WSMA festival.Use synthesized, prerecorded, and/orcomputer software programs whenaccompanists are difficult to find.

- The soloist/a member of the ensemble isexpected to introduce the performance atWSMA District and State Festivals, includingperformer and accompanist names, name ofschool, title and composer of piece (and ifappropriate, movements being performed),and briefly describe a significant aspect ofstyle, form, technique, harmony, rhythm, ormelody in the piece.
