2. Id like to introduce myself. My name is Kate. I live inPerm. Im a student of the9th form of school 44. I likemusic very much. One ofmy favourite groups is theBeatles. When I listen totheir music it makes methink about harmony, beauty and love in my life. 3. Id like to tell youabout the Beatlesbecause the impact ofthe Beatles is simplyincalculable. Asmusicians, theyproved that rock androll could embrace alimitless variety ofharmonies, structuresand sounds; theyinaugurated the era ofself-contained bands, and forevercentralized popmusic. 4. John Winston Lennon,October 9, 1940 James Paul McCartney, June 18, 1942 5. George Harrison, February25, 1943The drummer Ringo Starr,July 7, 1940 6. As a unit, theywere a musicallysynergisticcombination: PaulMcCartneysmelodic basslines, Ringo Starrslaphappy no-rolls drumming,George Harrisonsrocabilly-styleguitar leads, JohnLennons assertiverhythm guitar and their fourfervent voices. 7. Per Aspera Ad Astra Made up of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, the Beatles were just ordinary lads from Liverpool. And they didnt become famous overnight, as many people think. They worked hard to become successful. The group become nationally famous in England in October1962, when their first single, Love Me Do, entered the HitParade at number 27. 8. The Beatles concertswere a great success inall countries: Germany,France, the USA, etc.The release of I want to hold yourhand in 1964 marked the beginningof the phenomenon known asBeatlemania in the United States. 9. During the sixties, it seemedthat the Beatles were always inthe new headlines. They madesuccessful records andinteresting films. The first film, the innovative AHard Days night (1964), wasreceived enthusiastically by a wideaudience that included many whohad never before listened to rockmusic. 10. In the early 1970s, theBeatles finally decided tobreak up. Lennon becamea solo performer, wrote abook and took part inmany different activities.McCartney formed a newpop group called Wings.George Harrison wasrarely seen, but spent timeraising money for charity.Ringo Starr began asurprisingly successfulcareer as a film star. Theywere seen together lessand less often. 11. Although many fans hoped there would be a reunion, thisbecame impossible with the tragic murder of John Lennon inNew York in 1980. 12. If you ask someone in England, Whats the greatest pop album of all times?, the answer will almost certainly be: Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. When it was released in June 1967, it was an instant hit., withboth the public and the critics. It spent 23 weeks at the top of thealbum charts! 13. Amazing facts: There are more than70 famous peopleon the cover of Sgt.Peppers LonelyHearts Club Bandalbum. The Beatles used asmany as 49instruments whilerecording thealbum Paul McCartneywrote the songWhen Im Sixty-Four when he wassixteen years old 14. I listen to theBeatles songs every All my lovingday. I decided tolearn to play theguitar. I can playand sing some ofthe Beatles songs. 15. I completely agree with VictoriyaBryulo:Why I do love the Beatles?- For John Lennons independence,- Paul McCartneys brightness,- George Harrisons purposefulness,- Ringo Starrs ingenuousness!Their music is worth playing andsinging FOREVER!
