Terrain Description

- mixed forest- many tracks and pathes; rides and little pathes are not good visible,

when you cross them (due to the weather conditions in Austria)- characterized by: shallow depressions and pits, flat hills - various thickets (examples on the home page):

- dark green: very difficult to run, impassable- middle green: difficult to run- green: slow running- undergrowth: slow and difficult running- vineyard: shows the direction of running- in general: forest has very good and fast-running qualities


Some broken down fences in the area; they are printed on the map, but

not marked in the forest

Long distance: dangerous cliff near a control; it is marked with red white

ribbons

Depressions and small depressions sometimes filled with water

Vineyards are only allowed to pass in the direction of planting

Cultivated area: running is only allowed on the edge

• Some (Very few) controls are positioned about 30m from each other.• They have different control descriptions. • Terrain features are distinctly different.• The terrain features may in a stressed situation look similar.• Check codes!
