About the Service

Welcome! We are a multi-cultural, multi-generational spiritual community at Canterbury where TODOS gather to eat, worship, and grow together on Sunday evenings. We are a community deeply rooted in the sacramental Episcopal tradition, heeding God’s call to expand and embrace the gifts of many cultures and art forms in our worship together.

With TODOS, we make church together, so don’t be shy! Listen (even if you don’t understand)! Sing (even if you don’t know the song)! Pray (even if you don’t know the language)! Worship isn’t about being perfect; Worship is about being fully present and offering our gifts to God, and to one another, in community. We give thanks that God has called you to be part of our worshipping community this evening!

The TODOS Team:The TODOS leadership team is always growing and emerging. The founding leadership team for TODOS is made up largely of students, but we’re always looking for new folks (of all ages) with a passion for multi-cultural, multi-generational community and/or cooking, dance, drama, art, prayer, and music to join our TODOS Team! If you (or someone you know) might like to serve on the Todos Meal Host Team, contact Adrian Perez.  If you (or someone you know) might like to serve on the Todos Worship Team, contact Sylvia+.

Children in Worship:We believe that community worship (which we call “liturgy”) is at the heart of spiritual formation and practice for people of all ages.   The liturgy forms us as the people of God in beautiful and mysterious ways, even when we don’t entirely understand it.  Children of all ages are always welcome (and encouraged!)  to participate fully in the liturgy of the church.   Materials can be found in the entryway and throughout the church to help children (and artistic and kinesthetic learners of all ages) explore the spiritual themes of the liturgical season through art and quiet play during the liturgy.  If you need support, or have questions about how you can best support your child’s participation in the liturgy, contact Sylvia+.

Announcements:Important church news, announcements and upcoming events are published in our weekly email newsletter, Canterbury Communications.  To receive Canterbury Communications weekly via email, or to submit announcements, please email [email protected].  (A limited number of hard copies are available each week in the entryway. If you do not receive email, please take a hard copy!)

Offertory Song

We Give Thanks

As the priest chants the Prayer of Great Thanksgiving, the people support the prayer by humming on a single note. We all lend our voices to the prayer, which

is the prayer of the whole people of God.

Celebrante El Señor sea con ustedes.Pueblo Y con tu espíritu.Celebrante Elevemos los corazones.Pueblo Los elevamos al Señor.Celebrante Demos gracias a Dios nuestro Señor.Pueblo Es justo darle gracias y alabanza.

9

Page 10: Web viewWe listen for the Word of God speaking to us through the Holy Scriptures, through songs and silence, through . dance, drama, art, and preaching

Celebrante y Pueblo:

10

Page 11: Web viewWe listen for the Word of God speaking to us through the Holy Scriptures, through songs and silence, through . dance, drama, art, and preaching

AMEN.

As our Savior Christ has taught us, we now pray:
