Our Commitments
Vision The organisation will incorporate sustainable practices in every thing we do. By 2012 we will become Carbon neutral, consume 40% less resources and produce 90% less non-recycled waste.
Commitment 1 SAMH will actively set upon reducing our consumption of natural resources across the organisation.
Commitment 2 SAMH will significantly reduce the amount of general waste by using less and recycling more.
Commitment 3 SAMH will work in partnership with multiple
stakeholders across Scotland to protect the environment, to raise awareness of organisational and personal
responsibilities.

Objectives
• All services and departments will work to reduce travel claims by at least 10% by December 2008.
• SAMH should agree a target of 20% reduction in gas and electricity use to be achieved by March 2009.
• SAMH should set a target of 20% reduction in paper consumption by December 2008 and a 40% on current volume by 2012.
