8:10 - 9:30 a.m. “The Current State Of Lending” Every bank has a loan approval process along with a loan or credit committee. But as competition to provide

consumer, commercial real estate and small business loans accelerates, community banks need to make sure that sound lending policies are in place. This session will provide commentary and analysis on national and regional economic trends.

Didi Frohardt, Senior Business Process Architect—Banker Hill

10:30 - 10:45 a.m. Refreshment Break with Exhibitors – Exhibit Area

10:45 - 12:00 noon “Triggering the Next Downturn” As weaker global growth and trade wars are buffeting the U.S. economy the risk of a slowdown is growing. With the Fed having hiked nine times a recession may be a fait accompli. Corporate debt may be the next bubble to burst. Interest rates have nowhere to do but down.

Dimitri Delis, Managing Director, Piper Jaffray—Chicago, IL

12:00 noon Lunch with time to visit the Exhibitors – Overland and Blackstone Room

1:30 - 3:30 p.m. “Using Social Media and Online Tools to Build Your Brand, Grow Relationships, and Serve More Customers as a Lending Professional” It's no secret that people will often times chose to do business with you because they know, like and trust you. You want to be viewed as their banker, not just someone that works at the bank - you need to be a valuable resource and confidant they can count on when they have questions (or need a banking service). That means you need to think carefully about how you're positioning yourself on sites like LinkedIn, Facebook, Insta- gram, Twitter and any other place online where your customers (or prospects) are spending their time.

As the owner of LinkedIn, Microsoft is integrating member data into their Office platforms such as Out- look.com, Office 365 and others. Facebook is building an empire of social engagement and conversation options. So many things to think about, so where should you start? This session will reveal several strategies you can “take to the bank” and help ensure you’re getting the most out of your time on online building your personal brand there if (or when) you're needed. You’ll come away with tangible ideas you can implement immediately to increase your lending success.

Eric Cook, MBA Digital Strategist, WSI—Battle Creek MI

3:30 - 3:45 p.m. Refreshment Break with Exhibitors – Exhibit Area

3:45 - 4:30 p.m. “Current Criminal Topics in Banking” Overview of FBI and Criminal Conduct Impacting Banks and Banking.

Taylor Reed, Special Agent, FBI—Casper WY

Everyone will receive two drink tickets to redeem. Trolley transportation will be provided from the Sheridan Center to the Breweries and back to the hotel.

7:00 - 8:00 a.m. Breakfast Buffet – Overland and Blackstone Room

8:00 - 9:30 a.m. “The Amazon Prime Effect” - Snow Goose/Overland Rooms Subscription services are quickly becoming the dominate strategy of today’s best retailers and have caused a monumental shift in the way people buy. More than 50% of all American households now subscribe to Amazon Prime, and more than 200 million people subscribe to this and other retail services such as Netflix, Spotify, Dollar Shave Club, Costco and AAA. Bank and credit union marketers have a duty to understand these trends and drive their financial institution beyond just transactions to connect better with the lifestyles of today’s modern consumers.

How fee-based services like Amazon Prime, Dollar Shave Club and Netflix are rewiring the brains of today’s customers.

Communication strategies and mobile app demonstrations of innovative ways they’re engaging customers and becoming more and more valuable to their subscribers.

Man on the street consumer research videos, featuring real customers describing their feelings about banking fees.

Dave DeFazio, Partner, Strategy Corps—Brentwood, TN

9:30 - 11:15 a.m. “Brain Body System and High Performance” There is indisputable science correlating physiological health and workplace performance and yet we continue to see declines in employee wellness and little to no improvement in employee engagement. In addition, we are seeing increases in burnout amongst executives and professionals as well as growing disengagement with mid level managers. This is all happening while many of our most well intended efforts to improve workplace culture and staff performance are falling short. Come learn about approaches and methods that are reversing these negative trends and revealing important discoveries for organizational leaders and their employees.

Discover the correlation between physical wellness and brain performance.

Understand the primary drivers of the brain body system.

Learn about the role of mindset and how it can be changed.
