Xeric Greatest HitsI chose this box as a great starter option for the first-time gardener.

Missouri Evening PrimroseOenothera macrocarpa
Beautiful drought-tolerant plant blooms bright yellow flowers between May to August. Flowers only open for one day, typically in late afternoon. I loved seeing this flower pop up for a day and then anticipate the next bloom.
Sunset HyssopAgastache rupestris
This little plant is considered a subshrub. In the summer heat, it doubled in size, sprouting pink and purple tube-shaped flowers. The foliage has a licorice scent and is an attractant for hummingbirds.
Blanket FlowerGaillardia
I got quite the surprise in September when this flower decided to bloom. I was expecting low-lying flowers, but this one is similar to the coneflower, with long, tall stems shooting up from the garden. This plant lasted well into November thanks to a warm fall season. If you want to attract some butterflies to your garden, Blanket Flower is a great addition.
Mexican Feather GrassNassella tenuissima
I loved the soft, delicate appearance of this plant and it works perfectly as a border along my driveway.
It can grow 1 to 2 feet tall. It provides nice green color with feathery tufts in the spring and summer. During dormant periods, it’s buff color and texture provides winter interest.

I have ordered my box for this year and I am excited to expand on my drought-tolerant, native garden.
There are nine Garden In A Box options still available that include a variety of plants and sizes.
