1. TOPOGRAPHY: Are thereunusual geologic features?will the surface featureschanqed?

X Location is currently acommercial property(previously a gas station)located at 3280 Nettie,Bubte MT. There are noknown or report,ed unusualgeologic features. Thetanks and associatedpiping will be buriedunderground whileappurtenanL eguipment isabove ground. Generaltopography will notchange; surface featureswill be consErucEedconsistent with retailpetroleum re-fuelingfacilities.

2. GEOLOGY AND SOIL QUALITY,STABILITY AND MOISTURE: ATCfragile, compacti-bIe orunstable soils present? Arethere special reclamationconsiderations?

x There are no known specialreclamation considerationsfor the project site norare any fragile orunstable soils identifiedto the reviewer.

public water supplies anddistribution systemslocated within 3 mil-es ofthe proposed site.Tramway Gulch, ReeseCanyon, and Silver BowCreek are ]ocated within 3

miles of the proposedsite. Potential violationof ambient water guatitystandards, drinking watermaximum conEaminantlevels, or degradation ofwater quality is mitigatedby installation of doublewal1 fiberglass tanks(non-corroding) andsecondarily contained non-corroding undergroundpiping.Improper operation of thissystem would increase thepotential for vioLation ofambient water qualitystandards, drinking watermaximum contaminantIevels, and thedegradation of waterquality. Leak detectionsystems serve to mitigatethe potential impactsimmediately reducing theamount of fuel availablefor release to theenvironment.

4. AIR QUALITY: Will pollutantsor particulate be produced? Is the project influeneed byair quality regulations orzones (Class f airshed) ?

x Petroleum vapors wil-I bereleased at this site, however Stage I vaporrecovery will be installedEo reduce vapor releases.Natural air currents, submerged fill pipe, andvent pipes will dissipatehydrocarbon vapors Lo asafe level. The closestClass I area airshed,Anaconda- Pintler
