DESIGN THE FUTURESWISS DESIGN
Design the Future. When we started to work on the new table platform XF we carefully analyzed what we have learnt so far to create a structure as simple and efficient as possible. XF is designed in the tradition of best perfor-ming Swiss design. It is built with one leg and one profile only. This foundation allows the platform to adapt to today´s and tomorrow´s needs. XF is a formula where X means the variable that could work in different scenari-os in the office or at home. F stands for Flow that translates into ”productive harmony“. XF essentially delivers the ”software“ to solve future needs.

HANS CORAYLANDI CHAIR
Swiss design – since its entry into modern times is synonymous for high quality, consis-tent reduction and maximum functionality. As a milestone of a still cherished tradition the Landi chair from Hans Coray in 1938 in-spired the audience and manifested in itself the technological progress of the time. Its materialisation as well as the simple ele-gance provided at the Landesausstellung, and shortly thereafter, a worldwide sensati-on. Today, the Landi chair can be found in all major design collections around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. 91 holes, three kilograms of aluminum, a great thought: This is the stuff the legend of which Swiss design is made.

SWATCHJELLYFISH
On 1st March 1983 began the worldwide tri-umph of the most successful wristwatch of all times. The Birth of the Cult Swatch brand was based on a taboo: For the watch industry, it was unthinkable, to produce a high-quality clock for an affordable price. Swatch stunned the scientific experts with a revolutionary de-sign and never seen before fully automated assembly line. For the past 28 years, Swatch captures the spirit of the time. With high-profile design contributions – including Andy Warhol, Kiki Picasso, Helmut Newton and Vivienne Westwood – the brand combines legendary Swiss watchmaker s art with the claim for international status.

XF – the system platform. Its essence: utility and beauty. The philosophy: the world has different needs, which it meets with innova-tion, versatility and dynamism. The name: XF. X is the variable that adjusts to the personal needs of the user. F stands for flow – the state of productive harmony, and the harmonious combination of motivation and attention. 2011 XF writes a new chapter in Swiss design history. Following this tradition it creates with the courage of reduction, unique objects of value with global charisma.

BEND
Frame B represents the essential idea to esta-blish the frame by locking two frame profiles with one cast leg. It is the preferred solution for standalone and extensions. Bending the profile allow to shape the frame according the geometry of the top.

SCREW
The basic framework consists of a single pro-file and a cast leg. XF offers two options for building the framework. Frame S is built with screws to connect the basic profiles for maxi-mum functionality and compact shipping.

Context matters and first we try to under-stand the space and people before we shape our solution.
The highly flexible system allows for the crea-ting of complex solutions with a minimum of parts. Simplicity as resolved complexity.

The XF system is a unique offering that starts with a table and ends with open structures to be connected to walls, storage and personal storage and accessories. It follows in a natu-ral way the form follows function idea as it was originally defined by Louis Sullivan.
It is the pervading law of all things organic and inorganic, of all things physical and me-taphysical, of all things human and all things super-human, of all true manifestations of the head, of the heart, of the soul, that the life is recognizable in its expression, that form ever follows function. This is the law.
