area chart
A chart with vertical and horizontal axes where each point along the horizontal axis
represents a data point. The actual values for each data point are plotted against the
vertical axis. For each series, colored areas are created by connecting the plotted points
agains the horizontal axis. This chart is useful to emphasize a trend line such as stock
prices or revenue history. Similar to stacked area charts.
art and background component
An element that can be added to a model to enhance the look with images and colors.
background component
A prebuilt artwork element that can be added to a model to provide a visual background
and create visual divisions or group related components. Unlike container components,
this component does not hold or contain other components: it just creates a visual distinction
between areas.
bar chart

more items over a period of time or in a specific range of values. For example, this chart
may be used to show the quarterly headcount by region. Similar to column charts and
stacked bar charts.
bullet chart
A chart that displays information in a condensed, simple format and can have either a
vertical or a horizontal orientation. The bullet chart has a single primary measure (for
example, current year-to-date revenue) that is displayed as a vertical or horizontal bar. A
marker on the bar indicates the target or performance goal and changingcolorhues behind
the bar indicate qualitative ranges of performance, such as poor, satisfactory, or good.
calendar component
