Dear Colleagues, Friends,
We are very happy to welcome you to Genoa for the XIXInternational Congress of the Society of Renal Nutritionand Metabolism. This great event occurs 41 years afterthe First Congress in Wurzburg. Since then, the ICRNM
Congresses have experienced tremendous growth, with the number ofparticipants increasing over time. The Congress is dedicated to disseminating the latest scientific advancesin the field of renal nutrition and metabolism as they relate to patientswith kidney diseases, including chronic kidney disease (CKD) and acutekidney injury (AKI).We hope the scientific programme we have prepared will meet yourexpectations: the Scientific Committee, The Executive committee andISRNM Council Members have worked very hard to provide the best inscience and education.Among the pre-Congress activities, the ICRNM 2018 will offer on the firsttwo days the TNT Renal Course. In addition, the main Congress will have 4Plenary lectures, 61 Symposia, 5 Free communications sessions and 260posters. The entire spectrum of basic, clinical and translational nutritionand metabolism science will be covered by more than 100 expert speakerscoming from more than 100 different nations.Apart from the scientific programme we hope you will enjoy Genoa inearly summer, a city with variety of cultural and leisure opportunities, suchas great museums, parks and friendly, charming and romantic corners.I am sure that Genoa will be a friendly place to discuss science, to teach andlearn and finally to meet old and new friends alike. Finally I would like toinvite you to visit the Liguria Riviera, and must-see places like Portofinoand Cinqueterre. For us, it is a great pleasure to have you in Genoa for theXIX ICRNM Congress.
