Around 6mm of limescale will build up in an average household over 4 years and can cause up to a 40 % re-duction in your home’s energy effi-ciency. Cleaning also takes longer and uses more chemicals. A house-hold of four spends about $800 per year on cleaning supplies.

Eventually, untreated hard water can cause appliances to leak, malfunc-tion and use more energy. Also the heating elements of water heaters are highly susceptible to damage from limescale. Hard water can lead to as much as a 48% loss of effi-ciency in water heaters.

Pretty much any plumbing fixture is negatively affected to some degree by hard water. Typical examples are: ruined finishes, damaged washers and seals, valve blockages. Steel pipes are particularly susceptible to blockages. FaucetsFaucets need to be replaced 40% sooner.

Hard water can leave your hair feel-ing frizzy, dull and brittle, and your scalp feeling dry and itchy. It also makes it difficult to rinse away soap from the surface of your skin, leaving your body dry and potentially irritat-ed. Hard water makes moisturizers and cosmetics less effective.

WHAT IS HARD WATER COSTING YOU?

Know This Before Installing

You need a minimum 10” (24cm) of exposed pipe.

For optimal water treatment YARNA is best in-stalled near the water meter or at the main water supply. Make sure you have access to a power outlet. Our power adapter has 5ft (1.5m) of cable.

Different installation positions are possible. Please observe different placement examples, shown in the images to the right. Leave a minimum safe distance of at least ½" (1 cm) between the two impulse bands.

The main unit should be installed on the wall. If unavailable, you can place it on the water pipe. De-pending on the surface you can choose between fixing it with screws or using the double sided ad-hesive tape. The position of main unit relative to the pipe is not important

Each impulse band has a total length of 52“ (130cm). You need to wind at least 35” on the pipe.

In case of limited space, the windings can be placed partly on the main pipe and partly on the distributor pipe. All these different installations are possible because the treatment impulses extend over several meters to either side of the pipes.

The unit is effective up to 1.2 miles from the in-stallation point along your pipe system. Depending on ambient temperatures this effect can last up to 7 days after water exits your pipe system. Minerals remain in the water as ions. This prevents the lime-scale to stick to your skin or solid surfaces.

1. Secure the main unit to the wall by using the screws inside or the double sided adhesive tape. You can also attach the unit to the water pipe using the sticky tape.

2. Connect one of the impulse bands to the device and use a zip ties to secure the impulse band to the pipe.

3. Wind the impulse band around the pipe producing a coil. Make sure you wind the band tightly to the pipe and place the windings close to each other. Latch the end of the impulse band to the pipe using another zip tie. Now repeat steps 2 and 3 with the second impulse band.

4. Time to power up the unit. First plug the power adaptor to the main unit, and then connect the power supply to an electrical outlet. The power adapter has a LED light that must be visible. Also each USB has a blue diagnostic light that will come on, showing that both impulse bands are operating normally. Your YARNA water softener works from now on maintenance-free.

2. Verbinden Sie eines der Impulsbänder mit dem Gerät und nutzen Sie einen Ka-belbinder, um das Impulsband am Rohr zu befestigen.

3. Wickeln Sie das Impulsband um das Rohr und produzieren Sie eine Spule. Stel-len Sie sicher, dass Sie das Band fest um das Rohr wickeln und die Windungen dicht beieinander sind. Befestigen Sie das Ende des Impulsbandes mit einem weiteren Kabelbinder am Rohr. Wiederholen Sie nun Schritt 2 und 3 mit dem zweiten Impulsband.

4. Zeit zum Einschalten des Geräts. Verbinden Sie zuerst das Netzteil mit dem Hauptgerät und stecken Sie dann das Netzteil an einer Steckdose an. Das Netzteil verfügt über eine LED-Leuchte, die sichtbar sein muss. Außerdem hat jedes USB eine blaue Diagnoselampe, die aufleuchtet und anzeigt, dass beide Impuls-bänder normal funktionieren. Ihr YARNA Wasserenthärter arbeitet von nun an wartungsfrei.

4. Il est temps de mettre l'unité sous tension. Branchez d’abord l’adaptateur sec-teur sur l’unité principale, puis branchez l’alimentation sur une prise secteur. L’ad-aptateur secteur est doté d’un voyant DEL qui doit être visible. De plus, chaque clé USB a un voyant de diagnostic bleu qui s’allumera, indiquant que les deux bandes d’impulsions fonctionnent normalement. The standard warranty is valid for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase by the end-user purchaser ("Warranty Period"). YARNA’s guidelines include but are not limited to information contained in technical specifi-cations, user manuals and service communications.

The manufacturer does not undertake to repair or replace the unit where there is evidence that damage or failure of the unit has been caused by improper installation or op-eration, or if there is evidence of tempering with the unit in any way. In addition, the warranty does not extend to include damage from external causes or natural disasters. Also the warranty is limited to the product and does not applyapply to parts of the water system (pipes, faucets) or ap-pliances.

The YARNA softener has no serviceable parts. In case of valid warranty claim, YARNA will proceed to REPLACING the damaged unit. In such an event, the customer will always receive a new product, and NOT a recondi-tioned/refurbished one.

Important Notes

Your YARNA water softener WILL NOT make your water potable.

Your YARNA water softener is suitable for all pipe materials: iron, copper, plastic, stainless steel, PVC, compound pipes, PE-X, etc.

PProtect the electronic unit and the power supply against direct water. The unit is IP44 rated (splash proof) and although there is no risk of short or fire, water can still damage the electronics.

Use the provided electronic power adapter only. You can use an extension cord if there is no outlet around the installation point.

Do not cut the impulse bands nor the 24V power cord of the power supply unit. It is better to overlap the turns in the impulse bands as opposed to cutting them.

Clean Clean the device with water only using a soft cloth.

The operating temperature of YARNA ranges from -13°F to 122°F (–25°C to +50°C).

Using a 70 year old proven physics law and adding modern technology

The YARNA Electronic Water Softener uses the power of electric fields to change the way calcium crystals behave. Calcium and Magnesium (limescale) have a natural tendency to adhere to everything due to their sharp edged-crystal structure. 

AsAs the water flows through the treated area (beneath the two impulse coils), the powerful electric waves break the crystals and transform the calcium into ions. In this state, calcium and magnesium form smooth long strings that will NOT adhere to anything. The big ad-vantages of this process are that:
