Every school is strongly encouraged to take part in the “Bring Your School Flag” participation segment.

This is a great opportunity for all schools to be part of the Youth Celebrate! festivities.

Displaying your school flag allows your students to proudly present the school’s identity amongst all the educational institutions in Singapore at Youth Celebrate!

Schools are strongly encouraged to bring their school flags, banners or crests or use other creative means that will help display their school’s identity within the stadium.

We also have a SUGGESTED activity should schools wish to rally their students to work collaboratively in a meaningful SG50 activity.

Start Making Your Flag

The school flag can be formed from about 16 A2 sized cards which the school will need to purchase.

Divide your school flag into 16 parts using a 7:5 ratio, either on your PC or using a print out.

Transferring the Image Using a grid method, transfer the flag design onto the

A2 cards by projecting it onto the card surface to be traced.

Overlay your school flag

with the grid provided.

Depending on the ratio of

your school flag, some

cropping may occur.

Once the tracing is

complete, you can start

painting your flag colours

onto the A2 cards.

A grid of ratio 7:5 has been

prepared for you. Put the A2 cards together

to form a large rectangle of

4 x 4 A2 cards. Place them

on a wall or floor.

Project the image of the

flag onto the A2 cards you

have arranged on the wall

or floor.
