Welcome to Week 11 of the last term of the year! Below is the new timetable with suggested activities for this week. This timetable can be done in
any order. There is a suggested time for each activity but families should adapt the length of activities to suit their children.

their sounds.
You should all have
your Spelling Shed

these to practise
your spellings!

Remember: If you are
writing it’s best if
children think of their
sentence first, then say
it out loud before writing
it and lastly checking it.

How many planets are there?
What order are they in?
Is the sun a planet? Which is
the hottest planet? Are there
any signs of life (water,
oxygen)?
Tuesday 7th
July
Daily workout Read to a grown up. Practise Phase 3, 4
and 5.
Alien Escape
Try the next day. Remember
to do the video first!

Sequence the pictures
from the story in the
correct order. Read the
story again if you are
stuck.
Design your own planet.
Draw a picture of it too. Does it
have a ring? What colour is it?
Wednesday 8th
July

and 5.

Complete the Spelling and
grammar challenge cards.
Put the planets in the correct
order. Colour them in the
correct colour. Use the fact
cards from Monday to check
what colour each planet is.
Where in our solar system would
your planet be? Draw it on the
diagram.

Follow the instructions on the

Count them and keep a tally
chart.

Let’s write the end of this story. Use the picture and the plan
to help you. Remember to use all the great words you have
picked out yesterday.
Challenge:
Can you use ‘because’ once in your story?
Start a sentence with an adverb (silently, hesitantly..)
Use Onomatopoeia
Remember capital letters, finger spaces and full stops!
Read over your story. Does it all make sense? Correct any
mistakes.
