If you do not have access to the internet, then the lesson is also below:
WALT: understand ordinal numbers
We use ordinal numbers to describe which order things come in. Ordinal
numbers are words like:
1st - first
2nd - second
3rd - third
4th - fourth
5th - fifth
6th – sixth
and so on...
Pirate ordinal numbers
Look at the slideshow below to practise using ordinal numbers.
Activity 1
Worksheet: Order the dinosaurs
What order are the dinosaurs in? Cut and stick the numbers or write them
down in the correct order. If you cannot print this out, then why not draw the
dinosaurs and then write what order they are in underneath.
Activity 2
Colour by ordinal numbers
Follow the instructions on the worksheet to colour in the ice cream. If you
cannot print this out, then why not draw the ice cream yourself and then follow
the instructions.
Science – Grouping Animals
There are lots of different types of animals, which animals are your favourites?
Animals are put into different classes of groups – read on to learn about the
different animal groups.
Bitesize have some lovely videos about each group, here is the link for mammals:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z6882hv/articles/zp92xnb

Extension: Can you draw some animals on your sheet that are not shown below?

Computing Lesson
Algorithms
An algorithm is a set of instructions split
up into small steps so the computer can get
something done. Computer games are made
up of lots of sets of instructions.
This Bitesize clip explains about
Algorithms.

Try out Teddy Hunt – make sure you follow
the instructions exactly.
