Thursday 28th March 2019

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

As I was out of the country last week, I would like to pay my respects and offer my condolences to everyone who was closely affected by the Christchurch tragedy.

I would like to acknowledge the school staff, Board of Trustees and entire Blockhouse Bay School community for the sensitive way in which they have handled and coped with what happened. Whilst we will never forget what took place and how many lives were affected by it, it is the mark of a nation’s maturity that we have been brought closer together by these events.

Well done to all of the children who represented us at the inter-school Cricket competition last week. As always, our children behaved well and really enjoyed the experience. Congratulations to our A Team who brought the cup home after winning the top grade.

Well done too, to the Rimu and Kauri children who took part in the Cross Country yesterday. It was great to see you giving your all in front of a large group of cheering parents and family members. In next week’s newsletter, we will publish the names of the children who will be representing us at the inter-school event next term.

I know that the children will be looking forward to attending the first Disco of the year next week. Please give some thought to supporting our FAB team at the disco if you are able.

Have a great week everyone Neil Robinson Principal
