All about usThis year all the classes at Brooke Primary Academy will be named after musical greats.
Our class will be named after
Irving Berlin
He was born Israel Beilin ( May 11, 1888 – September 22, 1989) He was
an American composer and lyricist, widely considered one of the
greatest songwriters in American history. Although he was an American
composer he was born in Russia.
Irving Berlin wrote more than 1000 songs in his lifetime. Some of his
most famous songs include White Christmas and There’s No Business
Like Show Business. He also wrote Alexanders Ragtime Band which started an international dance
craze.
