Today we are going to think
about The Magic Box by Kit
Wright. The poet describes a
range of objects which he
puts inside the magic box
and then uses personification
to describe the items. I
would like you to choose a
variety of objects you would
put in your box. I want you
to add a note describing
your objects using

We are completing
our week by
making inferences
about the text. Use
your skills to help
you answer the
questions on the

seesaw activities.
Today I would like to
you write your own
haiku. You can write
your haiku based on
anything at all! You
could choose one of
the objects you chose

could write about
something in nature or

you could link your
haiku to our topic and
write about the moon
or space. I want you
to include some
personification in your
haiku, using the skill
you developed at the
start of the week. I
have attached some
examples of haiku
which use
personification. You
can present your haiku
using any media you
choose! Remember to
share all of your hard
work with us on
seesaw!
Topic information sheet
With this being our last week, we would usually complete a topic reminder
sheet. This would usually be a double page spread, recapping the different
weeks of the topic and explaining what you had learnt. As this is being done
online, you can choose to do this on paper and take a picture, complete a
Powerpoint or Publisher document to share your learning, or film a video that
explains what you have learnt and what your favourite parts have been.
These finished documents can then be uploaded to Seesaw so that they can be
marked. Best of luck and I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
