Starter: Hear a sound! An unusual sound draws the reader into the setting or action of the story. Challenge – write a couple of sentences describing an unusual sound. Example: Woosh! Woosh! The wind howled through the tunnel, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand. I looked for something…anything to emerge.
