FY16 Yearly Data Compilation This report compiles Fiscal Year 2016 (July 2015 – June 2016) data volunteered by Domestic Violence Prevention, Policy, and Coordinating Council (DVPPCC) and DV Network member organizations—both county government and community non-profit—that work to prevent and intervene in domestic violence and stalking.

Information on the types and amount of services delivered, and the demographic information on clients who received services, are reflected under the following categories:

Hotline/Helpline Calls Emergency Shelter Supportive Housing Criminal Justice Victim Advocacy and Counseling Services Civil Justice: Protective Orders and Legal Services Offender Services Children Impacted Pets

Data is uniquely collected by each of the organizations. As such, the type of information, the breakdown of demographics, or even the definition of domestic violence may differ from agency to agency. Therefore, comparison of data across different agencies should be limited.

These numbers serve to highlight the amount and type of services provided by the Fairfax DV Community. They do not, however, reflect the incidence or prevalence rates of individuals and families in our community who are affected by domestic violence and stalking. Many people chose not to reach out for services, or received services from organizations that were either unable to provide their data or are not considered traditional domestic violence service providers, such as local community centers or private mental health providers.
