I’ve got a sore throat. Mum says she can see white spots at the back of my mouth.

The Doctor says I’ve got to have yellow medicine.

I say I don’t like the yellow medicine. It tastes really yucky.

Dad says I have to take it four times a day.

FOUR TIMES!

Nan says that when she was little they had to have medicine that tasted like fish.

I say I wouldn’t mind that because I like fish fingers.

My brother says that it helps if I hold my nose. I say that’s a fib because it doesn’t go up my nose.

Grandpa says he’ll buy me a big bag of chocolate buttons to help take the taste away, and some drinks with straws.

It’s not fair, my sore throat is better and my yellow medicine is all gone.

And now I can’t have drinks through a straw and chocolate buttons at breakfast!
