1. Welcome and introductions
The meeting started by welcoming all partners. Agenda was adopted without changes.
2. the definition Feeding infants and young children in emergencies Dr. Senan from UNICEF presented the Infant and Young child feeding update to the partners, with
focuse on a number of topics as below:

The effect of breastfeeding in reducing child mortality

3. Briefing on the cholera response plan and nutrition-related tools
Dr. Senan from UNICEF updated partners on the response plan to cholera and newly developed tools
related to nutrition as there is high rats among children with suspected cholera. There is a guidance
developed by WHO, UNICEF and MoPHP on treatment of cholera in children with Severe Acute
Malnutiriotn which is now included in the overall cholera guidance..
Also, referring to the reporting tool that was developed for cholera, it now includesnumber of children
treated for cholera, the number of children who were identified as severely malnourished and the number
of children referred for treatment after stabilisation. Five questions were added to the cholera monitoring
and supervision checklist, related to malnutrition.

Accountability to affected population guidance and reporting tools Ms. Lamia from SCI presented the AAP guidance and gave an orientation to the partners on the AAP. The Accountability to Affected Population operational guidance was developed in collaboration with the Nutrition Group partners, led by the Save the children (SCI) and otherorganizations:
