Yinghua 4-Year Math Education and Its End Goals
Geometry, U.S.10th grade math
Advanced Algebra or Algebra 2, U.S. 11th grade math
Precalculus, U.S. 12th grade math
When entering 9th grade, your child will be prepared for one of the following:

• Starting the 1st year in MS and throughout middle school years
• Grade level differentiation– Prior knowledge– Standardized test results– Individual learning style
• Switch in between levels
Math Jump Summer Program
• Purpose: to JUMP a math level• Time: Summer break (Jun. – Aug.)• Procedure:
– Independent learning via Khan Academy
– Small group support at Yinghua Academy
MS After-School Prep Sessionsfor High School and Beyond Readiness
• Support the student’s math learning• Schedule:
– 3:35 to 4:00 pm, 9/21 – 5/20• 5th grade: every Monday• 6th grade: every Tuesday• 7th grade: every Thursday• 8th grade: every Friday

Assignment&Assessment
•1. MS students usually are assigned around 30-40 uninterrupted-minute homework every day. They are expected to accomplish it neatly and seriously before they come to school.
•2. Quizzes every week; Unit Test every month; Final Assessment every semester. All results will be recorded and posted on the Infinite Campus network.
•3. NWEA and the MCAs (Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments)
