Come join us on the shores of Nelson Lake located in Valley East for an exciting outdoor day camp. The program includes swim-ming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, archery, arts and crafts, field games and much more! YMCA Day Camp at Falcona offers a clean and modern facility, indoor space for those rainy days and a sandy beach complete with a water trampoline and jumping tower. Bus transportation is included in the camp fee with convenient, supervised pick up and drop off at YMCA Sudbury and the Pizza Hut parking lot in Val Therese.

Day Campers can get a taste of overnight camp for one night! One-night overnight will be offered on Wednesdays during weeks 4, 5 & 9 ONLY. Permission forms will be included in the parent package which will be sent to each participant registered for those specific weeks. Cost $25.00 per participant/week (Meals Provided)

Falcona Day Camps will be offered for 7 weeks throughout the summer and are open to ages 6-14 each of the 7 weeks. Day campers will register into junior and senior groups and separate programming will be provided. Campers are required to bring their own lunch. Junior: Ages 6-9 Senior: Ages 10-14 Member Fee: $195/week Public Fee: $225/week

Parents can drop off as early as 7:30am at the YMCA of Sudbury. The bus will depart the YMCA at 9:00am and arrive at the Pizza Hut in Val Therese at 9:30am. The bus returns to Pizza Hut at 3:30pm and arrives back to the YMCA at 4:00pm. Once the bus returns to the YMCA, campers will continue to participate in programming. Parents can pick up as late as 6:00pm at the YMCA. **Campers arriving late will be unable to be transported to Camp Falcona and parents will need to make alternate arrangements.

New! Brand new this year, YMCA Camp Falcona is introducing a new Day Camp Leadership Program (DCL) for teens ages 13-15 years. DCL campers will enjoy a fun-filled, 10-day program that provides campers the unique opportunity to take the lead in planning their own camp experience. Participants will be challenged to grow their communication, problem solving and leadership skills by working through activities and interactive workshops as a team. DCLs will still get to enjoy all the camp favourites spread between the two weeks with more flexibility to enjoy their favourites! In addition to participating in traditional camp activities, DCL canoers will have a larger focus on learning outdoor skills than traditional day camps and will get the opportunity to participate in a one-night canoe trip on Nelson Lake. No pre-requisite required. Member Fee: $420/2-week session Public Fee: $490/2-week session

RECREATIONAL DAY CAMPS For campers that want the whole camp experience! Recreational day camps give the opportunity to be creative, active and social in a variety of environments. Camp activities include gym and swim fun, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, singing, games and more! Member Fee: $165/week Public Fee: $195/week OR Member Fee: $34.50/day Public Fee: $40/day

SPORTS CONDITIONING DAY CAMPS * New! * Calling all sports enthusiasts! Campers will stay active all day with a variety of sports around the Y and on trips to local outside venues (weather permitting). A TRX conditioning component, pilates, yoga, boot camp style relay races and recreational swim will round out the activities for the specialty camp. Member Fee: $185/week Public Fee: $215/week

GYMNASTICS DAY CAMPS For those who spend more time upside down than upside right, we have the camp for you! Campers will spend 3 hours each day honing their gymnastics abilities. The rest of their day will be filled with recreational swim, games and outside activities. Member Fee: $185/week Public Fee: $215/week

JUDO DAY CAMPS For both beginner and experienced martial artists, Judo campers will spend 3 hours on the mat each day. Campers also have recreational swim time every day and will participate in other camp activities such as games, gym time and outdoor activities. Member Fee: $185/week Public Fee: $215/week

AQUA DAY CAMPS For campers that live to swim! Our Aqua campers will have a one hour instructional session in the water each day. Campers will also have an hour recreational swim and participate in a variety of other activities such as games, gym time and outdoor activities. Member Fee: $185/week Public Fee: $215/week

ART CAMPS * New! * Art camp is the perfect way for the creative camper to spend a week. We will be working with different mediums of art such as painting, drawing, sculpting and using nature as our inspiration. YMCA Rotary Camp Tillicum programs are safe, fun, and rewarding with lots of choices for campers. Children participate games, sports, crafts and a variety of activities that are designed to enhance understanding and appreciation of others and of nature. Camp Tillicum is ideal for the 7 to 12 year old. Small groups enhance personal growth and allow for maximum supervision. Throughout the week, children will have the opportunity to swim at our waterfront and participate in water instruction focused on basic survival skills. Bus transportation is included in the camp fee with convenient, supervised pick up and drop off at the YMCA of North Bay.

Member Fee: $195/week Public Fee: $225/week Parents can drop off as early as 7:30am at the YMCA of North Bay. The bus will depart the YMCA at 8:30am. The bus returns to the YMCA at 4:30pm. YMCA Rec Camps focus on having fun while teaching and practicing skill development, fundamentals, leadership and teamwork. Our Rec camps are delivered by qualified and experienced instructors and offer campers ages 5 to 12 years a fun, safe, well-supervised environment with an emphasis on friendship, fitness, fundamentals and fair play. Throughout the week, children will have the opportunity to swim in our pool and participate in water instruction focused on basic survival skills.

For over 60 years, John Island has been the source for adventure for boys and girls ages 6-16. With a welcoming sandy beach that spans 1km, John Island’s 200 acre site offers a home away from home for the first time camper and a place to return for the veteran camper. Located in the North Channel of Lake Huron, John Island Camp offers a wilderness experience unlike any other. John Island Camp emphasizes learning, adventure and fun through a variety of camper programs ranging from 5 days (4 nights) to 13 days (12 nights). Some of John Island Camp activities include canoeing, kayaking, archery, windsurfing and sailing, ziplining, high ropes, low ropes, out-trips to list only a few of many programs. Whether you are new to overnight camping or have been coming for year, YMCA Camp Falcona has something just for you! The camp’s newly renovated facilities and proximity to Sudbury allows campers to feel close to home while still enjoying the fun and independence of camp. Located on Nelson Lake in Hanmer, under one hour north of Sudbury , Camp Falcona offers 6 –one week programs. Camp Falcona offers a special Junior Week for ages 6-10 for those younger campers that are ready jump into the overnight camp experience! Each other one week session is for ages 8-14 with leadership programs available for ages 14-16.Our one week programs run Monday through Saturday and have a maximum of 60 campers. Each cabin houses 8-10 campers creating a strong sense of community and friendship. Falcona’s one week program features our large water park, all camp games, canoeing, kayaking, archery, skit nights, field games and much, much more!
