YMCA Teesdale’s Training Centre is a true social enterprise offering young people the opportunity to learn, develop and achieve within a working enterprise. Everyday young people are working on developing new skills including joinery, craft, design and enterprise which give them the opportunity to succeed.

The Training Centre employs apprentices who as well as learning and developing themselves, offer some fantastic peer mentoring to other young people and give a clear example of progression from school to the work place.

All of the products in this catalogue are made by the young people of Teesdale at the Training Centre using skills they have developed. All proceeds from sales go back into giving more young people more opportunities to learn, develop and achieve.

We make all manner of other products here at YMCA Teesdale....basically if it can be made out of wood we can make it.

These include crafted hardwood benches, sash windows, tables and doors as well as ranges of seasonal goods such as garden planters, bird tables, bird boxes and rabbit hutches. These can be made to order or you can order from our stock items.

We also do furniture restoration and repair, from simple fix and repair, to repainting and polish.

We are as well available to carry out onsite repairs and joinery work.

Anything and everything can be made.
