SLICE CHAIR

The chair must be made of paper, and the challenge is that all the adhesives are forbidden. I think that cardboard is a proper material, but cardboard has its well structure behavior.

because paper is weak, I use a stable shape to form the chair.

MY little SUNSHINE

MingSheng communities are near Taipei Songshan Airport, originally designed in a manner based on an American house. MingSheng communities along the road, the pedestrian paveway are planted with trees. And there are large and small park in this area, but most of them are scattered in several blocks, decreasing the possibility of interaction between households. In the MingSheng community residential units, vertical circulation link up with 2-4 floors of households, and people in Taiwan don't use there garden, almost used for parking or storage. So that the first floor residents are alienated among the neighbors. Vertical circulation is the intersection between usual residents space, but only in the number of one set dwelling unit. With the integration of the vertical moving line, as well as the concentration of open space, to promote the relationship between residents.

MULTI-EXPOUREMULTI-EXPOUREMULTI-EXPOURE

1908, the Japanese colonial rulers in Taiwan during the Qing rule within the city, the establishment of Taiwan's first modern European-style urban park (the "Taipei park" or "New Park"). Nowaday, the ChenChung area is still prosperous, the park has been renamed as "228 Peace Park" to commemorate the past. Goto Memorial Museum is restructured into National Taiwan Museum, Japan DKB Bank, the first restructuring of the Land Bank, promotes the postwar land reformation in Taiwan in recent years, more renovations for the land Bank Exhibition Hall, National Taiwan Museum buildings joined to offer residents a high quality cultural open space. Hundred years later, the colonial rulers have long gone, but around the 228 park, and the scars of the history still stand there.

In the modern urban development, many historical traces gradually disappear, and at the base, formerly developed to Tataocheng from Wanhua, and further development to the city area (around the base). Now in the Wanhua and Tataocheng area, Simon is the area that Ching and Republican period traces overlapped. From Simon to ChenChung business area, is the area which was occupied by Ching, Japanese and Republican. While the administrative district in the ChenChung area, the texture was left by the Japanese colonial period and modern period still exist in here.

I hope to present different period of history traces overlapping in Taiwan Image Museum. We can simultaneously see many different historical periods traces on the streets of ChenChung area. We can see the past from the modern framework of the building, and it is similar to photography technique, Multi-exposure, recording the images of different time. And at last all the images are presented in a photo simultaneously.

The organic mode of Ching period is partly regular. Becuase in a small range the street exists a regular pattern, but in a large range it appears an organic mode due to the lack of the overall urban planning. The Japanese colonial period implant the idea of urban planning, because of the influence from western culture, showing the integrity in this area. So the Japanese prudent thought was transformed into the regulatings in the city. Now You can see the elevation of the street presenting a neat order, but its back is organic because of a bunch of space derived from various demand function. 24

Four East-Asian Universities Urban Architecture Studio 2013 in Harbin(team work, my part river renovation design & render)

Majiagou is an important part of inter river system in Harbin city. It is not only uses as urban stormwater facilities, greenway and transportation, etc, but also centralizes rich landscape resources, history and culture, is the main control area in the city. Whatever eco-landscape, or city life, urban context, it is always an important factor in urban renewal.

Site locates on the old downtown area, close to Majiagou river. Within that area, there are old residential area; run-down slums; railway about to move, waste treating station, etc. around the site there are some important historical buildings such as Russian style residential area; School of Architecture, Harbin Institute of Technology; Harbin railway bureau, etc. How to maintain the traditional feature, revive river bank, adapt to urban development, complete regional functions, improve urban space, renew urban image are the missions and challenges of this project.

Special Subjects and ActivitiesNTUST I 2012 Summer - 2013 Spring

Taoyuan Hutoushan park public toilets Creative Design Competition - Chosen AwardThe Competition is based on the reuse of the old public toilets. In this competition, the public toilets are required to be combined with sustainable green energy technology and creative space designed to provide practical, health, energy, ecology, health and comfort of the public toilets. In addition, the design concept can be integrated into building energy effective combination of location characteristics and a series of park issues. Therefore, it will reach through routine activities of daily life saving energy educational purposes.

Hutoushan is famous for large quant i ty of Miscanthus( 芒 草 ) , connecting with the locals Hutoushan memory. Miscanthus leaves are very permeable. And I think a well-designed toilet must be good at ventilation, lighting, privacy, and feeling of using toilet. So I use the imagery of Miscanthus to be the concept of the toilets , and wish it once again to relink the memories between Hutoushan and people.

Since the site is located in the 2nd toilet, there is a height difference because of the terrain. I use a structure design to respond the terrain, and put an enclosured green courtyard in the middle of the toilets equipped with rainwater recycling system. And the structure of the steel and cable, weakening building massing influence, reduce the impact of the building in nature.33

Fab-Taiwan( 果核義築 ) Taitung Micro Architecture Project(my part is assist them build the architecture)

34

I was unfamiliar with Taitung, but this experince makes me impressed. In this project, I realized that architecture is such a wonderful thing that it can not only improve people's lifes but also make their dream come true. Although the process suffered so many problems and challenges, but once I overcome them, I wil l learn more than I had expected. I am so grateful that local residents teach me many things such as the techniques of carpenter, the history about their great ancestors, etc. And the project let me live in a simple life without the disturbance of modern. Thanks fo Fab-Taiwan providing me such a wonderful chance to rethink my life.
