Yoga in The Retreat with Nicky Friend Saturday 10th & Wednesday 21st November - half day sessions Saturday 10th & Wednesday 9th & 23rd January 10.15 - 13.00 & 14.00 - 16.30 Cost £35.00 per workshop We are running a series of half day workshops which will be a gentle slow flowing practice. Perfect for those who are already feeling the stress in the run up to Christmas. There will be a long relaxation followed by breathing techniques, great to ease anxiety and to help with any sleeping issues followed by a slow sometimes deep yoga flow practice. The emphasis will be on letting go - helping to release every bit of tension. It will conclude with a long relaxation and massage – complete bliss. Suitable for all levels including complete beginners who are able to sit and lie down without any issues. Nicky Friend has been a yoga teacher since 2002 and teaches a fusion of styles based principally on Sivananda but incorporating Astanga, Jivamukti and Hatha. Her classes uses the methods in these ancient philosophies to achieve an alignment of the body, mind and breath. The postures are always fully explained and once understood her students achieve a dynamic approach to their practice, increasing their flexibility and strength. This approach to the practice of Yoga has resulted in Nicky appearing as the go-to yoga specialist for Red, Cosmopolitan and Yoga magazines and has also seen her on the small screen helping various celebrities and athletes discover the joys of her particular Yoga. All equipment will be provided though you are welcome to bring your own. Cost £35 per session to include all equipment and access to Sculpture by the Lakes
