Summary

Course outline Our members Ten years average work experience with global exposure from a wide range of industries and job functions. Female to male ratio circa 25%.

Global diversity Over previous intakes students have come from over 45 different countries.

Accreditation Cass Business School now possesses the sought-after ‘triple crown’ gold standard in business education. We are fully accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). This places Cass in an elite group of global business schools.

Evening Executive MBA structure and dates 24-month part-time programme delivered over two evenings per week from 18.15 – 21.15.

You will start with an orientation programme, which includes the leadership and team building weekend workshop, introducing some basic concepts and techniques, as well as giving you a chance to get to know your tutors and fellow students.

The core business syllabus The first year is devoted to core modules covering technical knowledge in areas like finance and quantitative methods, as well as the chance to explore strategic issues like brand and knowledge management.

You will learn through a mix of expert tuition and hands-on exercises. Assessment is based on group project work and presentations, individual course work and exams (core modules only).

Modular Executive MBA structure and dates 24-month part-time programme delivered over one long weekend per month (Fri-Mon).

Admissions We look for well-rounded personalities who have a clear idea of their career objectives, a focused approach and can demonstrate:

• High academic calibre demonstrated by a degree

• A minimum of three years relevant and appropriate, full-time work experience, gained after graduation, with at least five years preferred

• At least two supporting references

Application We operate a rolling admissions programme. However due to high demand for places from strong candidates across the Cass MBA programmes, we recommend that you submit a full application at least four months in advance of the start of the course.

Specialist paths: electivesIn your second year, you will take between six and ten elective modules. Each Executive MBA is different and how you devise your electives plan will be unique to your own learning goals. For example, you might choose to develop a specialist path in areas relating to consultancy, finance or marketing. Or you may choose a range of electives from these disciplines to complement and strengthen your existing skill set. You can find the latest list of elective modules online at www.cassemba.com

The Business Mastery Project In your final year, you will draw together the many elements of the course in a major Business Mastery Project. The output from this project will count substantially towards your final degree.

Fees The fees are payable in four instalments. Includes all text books for first year, international emerging markets consultancy trip and one international elective (the air fare and visas are not included in the fees for the international elective).

Funding Cass has developed a wide range of financial awards based on academic and personal achievement. UK students can also apply for special study loans offered by some high street banks.

Business case for sponsorshipWe can offer you the opportunity to come in and meet with one of our Executive MBA advisors who can help you put a business case together to demonstrate the long-term value of the MBA for employers.

Rankings * In 2010, the Financial Times ranked the Cass EMBA programme second in the UK, fourth in Europe and tenth in the world.

If you are being sponsored by your employer, you may well choose a project that tackles an area of current concern in your business. Other projects are offered by companies through the Cass careers service, where sponsors have a direct interest in the project theme or idea.

The Business Mastery Project will not only help consolidate everything you have learnt in a practical environment, it can in itself be a real step forward in your career.

The Professional Development Programme runs concurrently throughout the period, providing support courses ranging from negotiation skills and mind mapping to languages and creativity.

List of electives is only an indication of the range of subjects on offer and is subject to change.• Additional international electives will incur a cost• Professional development runs throughout the
