minimum hook travel. The load sway is

thus reduced, which enhances the safety

of the operation and reduces the costs

NovaMaster – a quantum leap into the future.NovaMaster sets new standards for hoists.

This innovative lifting gear monitoring system

for electric hoists ensures hoist operation

with unrivalled safety and minimum wear

and tear to the lifting gear.

NovaMaster measures and analyses all rele-

vant crane data from which, for example,

the current load on the hook can be calcu-

lated. The system also monitors the lifting

motor and protects it against overload.

As NovaMaster ensures smooth lifting and

stopping manoeuvres, mechanical com-

ponents and hoisting brakes are protected

against excessive wear. During braking and

acceleration, the system switches to the

lowest lifting speed so that the brake is re-

lieved. In addition, NovaMaster continuously

monitors safe working period (SWP).

All relevant lifting gear parameters such as

SWP, total number of starts, total operating

time, average calculated load, SWP of the

lifting brake, etc. and error messages are

shown on the display.

The optional display unit can be mounted

on the control pendant and the load display

(accuracy ± 5 %) caters for an optional tare

weight function.

trolley and crane travelling allow for a sway

free travelling of the load.

The smooth acceleration and braking process

contributes considerable to reduce wear and

tear to many of the components, for example

the brake, the gearbox as well as the trolley

wheels.

� The MicroMove unit can be easily

programmed via dip switches.

� 16 alternative positions are available for

the selection of the minimum or

maximum travelling speed.

� MicroMove offers two possible control

methods: Stepless (EP) and 2-step (MS2).

� The inverters are easily assembled within

the crane cubicle. The MicroMove inverter

model 007 is simply connected via a plug.

� It is not even necessary to remove the

protective cover in order to program the

MicroMove unit.

For a smooth and gentle movement of any

load, SWF offers MicroMove frequency inver-

ter control in combination with high perfor-

mance trolley and crane travelling drives for

unbeatable performance. Not only this, also

the components used specifically for travel-

ling such as the brakes and trolley wheels are

protected against extreme wear and tear.

For the end user the MicroMove modules are

at first sight not visible – they provide how-

ever clearly visible results as far as the travel-

ling of loads and maintenance is concerned.

Our CT trolleys are renowned for outstanding

reliability and low maintenance costs. They

have been specifically designed to suit

modern control systems with frequency con-

verters. The latest vector control devices

allow for simple and safe operation. Our CT

trolleys are of a compact lightweight design

and enhance the working environment. The

standard model features a two-rope hoist

that does away with excessive hook travel.

� Auxiliary hoist

The CT trolley caters for the installation

of an optional auxiliary hoist.

� Load-independent high lifting speed

With this option, the lifting speed for

loads of less than 20 % of the rated load

is doubled.

� Drive systems

The drive system gear includes an intern-

ally toothed hollow shaft, which is

mounted directly onto the axle of the

running wheel. At the motor side, the

gear is mounted with antivibration pads

onto a torque converter bearing.

� Rope reeve

The wire rope hoists are true vertical lift.

We offer models where the rope is reeved

4 times to maximum 16 times, depending

on the hoist type and the nominal load.

Thanks to the large deflection sheaves,

the hoist rope is not exposed to excessive

bending stress and wear is thus minimised.

� Rope drum bearing

At the gear end, the rope drum is mounted

on two heavy-duty deep groove ball bear-

ings. At the opposite side, a swivelling

tapered roller bearing is mounted inside

the drum and the shaft is secured to the

frame. This design prevents material fatigue

at the drum shaft.

� Tandem design

A tandem design with 6 wheels mounted

in pairs on a rocker allows for optimum

load distribution onto the wheels. Wear

and tear are reduced, the service life of

the trolley is prolonged and the operator

can opt for a lighter bridge support

construction.

� Lifting gear brake

All CT trolleys are equipped with electro-

magnetic disk brakes. A second emergency

brake system is available as an optional

device.

� Coupling

Thanks to the flexible coupling between

the gear system and the rope drum, the

drum can move freely within a certain

range and is thus less exposed to wear.

� Centralised lubrication

The centralised lubrication system of our

CT trolleys ensures that all bearings are

properly lubricated.

� Lifting motor

The lifting motors have been specifically

designed to cater for heavy loads and are

available with capacities between 15 kW

and max. 132 kW. The modular design of

our CT trolleys allows for operation with

one or two lifting motors.
