The following positions represent the City of Newport News Executive Team and Management staff
which are appointed by, and serve at the will of the City Manager. These positions do not have an
established salary range. However, in determining the appropriate salary for a new appointee, as well
as merit-based salary actions for existing staff, the City Manager will be guided by all relevant factors.
The Executive Team and Management staff members are subject to the same personnel policies and
benefits as all other full-time employees unless specifically addressed in policy.
