ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Amelia Piscitelli, violin

Amelia Piscitelli graduated as

Salutatorian from Hammond

Baptist High School (Schererville,

IN) in May 2019. She is currently

enrolled as a Music Performance

major at Hyles-Anderson College,

a Bible college in Crown Point,

IN. Amelia has played violin

since 2005 and began to seriously

study violin with Stephanie Allen

in 2008. From 2009-2014 her

violin studies continued with

Debbie Edwards (Downers Grove

Suzuki Strings) followed by

Drostan Hall (Hall School of Music, Fall 2014 to present). She joined Camerata

Chicago Academy in 2015 and has been Concertmaster since 2017. In December of

2016 she performed live on WFMT’s Introductions (Chicago, IL). Since then her

professional experience with Camerata Chicago has also included these solo

opportunities: 2016, professional solo debut, Svendsen Romance; 2017, Bach Double

with Mathias Tacke; 2017 & 2018, soloist for Vivaldi's Four Seasons; 2019, soloist as

part of Wheaton College Artist Series. DMD Records just released her first solo

recording in July 2019: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. She is often requested to participate

in vocal groups at FBC Hammond as a violinist and vocalist.

Cindy Trowbridge, piano

Cindy Trowbridge is a member of the piano faculty at

College of DuPage, where she teaches private and

class piano and serves as staff accompanist. She does

extensive work as an accompanist for vocal and

instrumental recitals at Wheaton College, and

performs as a collaborative pianist throughout the

Chicagoland area. Cindy is the principal pianist for

Credo Flute, and has served as music director for

Wheaton College’s Opera Music Theater program

and as pianist for DuPage Opera Theater. She has

released recordings with the Carey Consort and has

Andrew Wilder, guitar

American classical guitarist Andrew Wilder began his musical education at an early

age under the instruction of his parents, both of whom are professional classical

musicians. Upon completing high school, he traveled to Europe to study in the

Istituto Musicale Pareggiato Della Valle D’Aosta in Aosta, Italy, and in the

following year, the Conservatorio Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Switzerland, where

he completed two Artist Diplomas in Guitar Performance under the instruction of

Lorenzo Micheli. Wilder then completed a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance

with Dr. Andrew Zohn at Columbus State University and a master’s degree in Music

Performance with Dr. Dieter Hennings at the University of Kentucky. He has also

studied interpretation and transcription extensively in private lessons and classes

with Paul Galbraith at the Musik-Akademie in Basel, Switzerland.

As a soloist, Wilder has performed recitals throughout the United States and Mexico,

Europe, and South America. He has also been the recipient of several awards,

including the First Prize in the Guitar Competition of Society of American

Musicians, First Prize in the International Tennessee Guitar Competition, and First

Prize in the University of Louisville International Guitar Competition.

Wilder has a particular passion for Baroque and Classical music and has been active

in researching and transcribing pieces for solo guitar and chamber ensembles,

especially works by J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, and Haydn. This artistic focus generated

an ongoing project to perform the complete lute works of J.S. Bach on the guitar

from memory. Wilder has presented the program in recitals in the United States and

Mexico, performing the complete cycle of all thirty movements in each recital.

Hyejin Cho, piano

Pianist Hyejin Cho has been

praised for her great sensitivity and

a profound ability to reach any

audience with an enriching

message. She is an active performer

with recent recitals across the

U.S.A., Germany, Italy, Austria,

England, Japan and Korea.

Frequently invited as a guest artist,

Cho has recently given solo recitals

at institutions such as Oberlin

Conservatory of Music, Northern

Illinois University, Wheaton

College, and Truman State

University as a part of the concert

series of piano works by Robert

Schumann, a project that she has

established in six different states. In

2021, Cho will bring the series to

the Dame Myra Hess Concert

Series (Chicago, IL), in which she

will be featured twice. The first

album of the Schumann project will be released through the Orpheus Classical in

May 2021. Additionally, Cho is developing a project on female composers, currently

researching unknown works by Cécile Chaminade and Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel.

As a passionate chamber musician, Cho is a founding member of the American Prize

winner Koinonia Piano Trio (https://koinoniatrio.com/), a performing and teaching

ensemble. Vibrant and service-minded, the trio has established several performance

residencies and given outreach concerts and workshops.

In addition to performing, Cho is an enthusiastic teacher, having served as an

Instructor of Piano at the University of Michigan and also on the piano faculty of the

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Center Stage Strings, Anchorage Chamber Music

Festivals, Innsbrook Institute, and String Preparatory Academy at the University of

Michigan. Currently, she works at Truman State University, where she works with

student instrumentalists and vocalists.

Originally from Seoul, Korea, Cho graduated from Ewha Women's University as a

Valedictorian. After graduation, she came to the United States, studying with

Menahem Pressler at Indiana University and earning a Master of Music and an

Artist Diploma in Piano. In 2018, she completed a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in

Piano Performance at the University of Michigan under Christopher Harding with a

concurrent Master’s degree in Chamber Music. She also studied privately with

Wonmi Kim in Italy.
