Artist Competition

www.youngbloods.org.uk

Are you an aspiring artist? Would you like to see your designused as part of a national campaign? Would you like to help usraise awareness? This is your chance.

We would like you to design a campaign poster. The poster is toraise awareness about how people in other parts of the world do nothave access to enough treatment. It should mention the UK’streatment, and how we want to ‘close the gap’ for other countries.

The winner will feature as part of the Haemophilia Society’sawareness raising work for World Haemophilia Day 2013.

Here are some facts to get you started on your poster:

An estimated 6.9 million people are living with a bleedingdisorder. Of these, 75 per cent remain undiagnosed and receiveinadequate care or no care at all.

A child growing up with a bleeding disorder in a developingcountry may suffer needlessly, experiencing the cripplingeffects of untreated bleeds. They often miss days of school ordon’t attend school at all.

We want to urge governments around the world to be true tothe theme “close the gap” and ensure treatment for everyone.

Even more information is available on the World Federation of Hemophilia website – www.wfh.org.

The competition closes on 31st January and is open to Under-16s.You can design your poster by hand or on the computer, on one sideof A4 paper.
