TRINITY BASEBALL CAMPGRADES 3-7 June 28 – 30 9 a.m. – noonGRADES 6-9 July 19 – 21 9 a.m. – noon

Cost: $95 (includes camp T-shirt)

Young players will develop essential and fundamental skills that will better prepare them to play at an advanced level and in high school. Camp will be held at St. Matthews Little League, and is directed by Coach Rick Arnold, his staff, and current and former players.

MIKE SZABO’S TRINITY BASKETBALL CAMPGRADES 3-9 June 6 – 10 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. June 13 – 17 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.July 11 – 15 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.July 18 – 22 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $110 if registered by May 1 $120 if registered after May 1 (includes camp T-shirt and Trinity basketball)

This camp will teach students the essential skills of successful basketball players and will focus on ball handling, dribbling, shooting, teamwork and the importance of dedication. TRINITY BOWLING CAMPGRADES 4-12 (BOYS AND GIRLS) June 13 – 17 9 a.m. – noon

Cost: $100 (includes camp T-shirt and camp insurance)

This camp will cover all phases of the game and is designed to teach students successful competitive bowling techniques. Camp will be held at Ten Pin Lanes across from the Mall St. Matthews and is directed by Trinity Bowling Coach Joe Fowler. Instructors include Chuck Farrish, Lee Lamoureaux, Skip Crawford and prominent bowlers in the Louisville area.

TRINITY CROSS COUNTRY CAMPGRADES 3-9 (BOYS AND GIRLS)June 13 – 16 6 – 8 p.m.

Cost: $50 (includes camp shirt, snacks and race entry fee)

This co-ed camp will focus on training, techniques, drills, form analysis, nutrition and lifestyle of a successful runner. Camp will be held at Seneca Park, except for Wednesday, June 15, when the camp will convene at Clarksville High School for a track meet. Camp will be directed by Head Cross Country Coach Chad L. Waggoner.

TRINITY 7-ON-7 CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL CAMP “IT’S ABOUT THE SYSTEM”GRADES 6-9June 13 – 15 9 a.m. – noon

Cost: $100 (includes camp T-shirt)

This camp will provide quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, defensive backs and linebackers with the opportunity to learn “the system” that has brought Trinity 10 state championships in the last 13 years. The camp will focus on the skills necessary to be outstanding skill players at any level. Camp will be held at Trinity’s Marshall Stadium and is directed by Head Football Coach Bob Beatty and his staff.

TRINITY LINEMAN CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL CAMP “IT’S ABOUT THE SYSTEM”GRADES 6-9 June 20 – 22 9 a.m. – noon

Cost: $100 (includes camp T-shirt)

This camp will provide offensive and defensive linemen with the opportunity to become better football players by learning skills from the state championship Trinity staff. Proper weight-lifting techniques will be taught as well as nutritional information from Head Strength Coach Mike Snyder. Camp will be held at Trinity’s Marshall Stadium and is directed by Head Football Coach Bob Beatty and his staff.

DENNIS LAMPLEY’S FOOTBALL CAMP GRADES 4-8June 27 – 30 9 a.m. – noon

Cost: $100 if registered by June 3; $115 if registered after June 3 (includes camp T-shirt)

This camp will prepare football players of all ages and skill levels to improve their play by focusing on fundamentals, conditioning and strategic thinking. Directed by Dennis Lampley.

ROCK STEADY LACROSSE CAMP GRADES 5-9June 1 – 2 5 –9 p.m.

Cost: $100 (includes reversible jersey)

This camp will provide athletes with the opportunity to become better lacrosse players by learning skills and strategies from the best coaches and players in the Louisville area. Camp will be held at Trinity’s Marshall Stadium and is directed by Head Lacrosse Coach Pete Schroeder and his staff, as well as former players.

TRINITY SOCCER CAMP GRADES 4-9July 11 –15 9 a.m. – noon

Cost: $115 if received by June 1; $130 if received after June 1; $145 if received after July 1 (includes camp T-shirt)

This camp will consist of basic skill development, along with a mixture of small-sided games and Futsal. The camp is designed to improve the technical aspect of each player's game as well as enhance tactical decision-making. Camp will be held at Trinity’s Marshall Stadium and is directed by Coach Dale Helfrich and his staff, and former and current players.

VOLLEYBALL CAMP GRADES 7-9 July 25 – 28 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Cost: $100 if registered by June 1; $110 if registered after June 1 (includes camp T-shirt)

This camp will encourage a love for volleyball in young athletes by showing them how to accelerate progression and succeed through quality instruction from top-level performers. Camp will be held in Shamrock Hall at Trinity High School and is directed by Richard Weaver.

SURVIVOR MATH CAMPGRADES 7-9 July 19 – 22 9 – 11 a.m.

Registration is limited.

Cost: $100

This camp will review basic math computational skills needed for success in algebra. Students will develop math-studying skills and improve their problem solving and logic skills. Students will compete in teams and individually. Participants will also explore algebraic concepts utilizing a TI-83+/84 graphing calculator.

TRINITY HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN ORIENTATION EXPERIENCE June 20 – 24 Session One 8 – 10 a.m. Session Two 10:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

June 27 – July 1 Session Three 8 – 10 a.m. Session Four 10:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

July 5 – 8 (Four-day session) Session Five 8 – 10 a.m. Session Six 10:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Each group will be limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Course is open to incoming Trinity freshmen.

Cost: $75 (includes all materials)

The purpose of this course is to better prepare the graduating eighth-grade student for the transition into Trinity High School. The course is taught/presented by Trinity faculty members, and is meant to better prepare the incoming freshman for effective socialization and transition specifically into the Trinity community.

TRINITY DRUM LINE CAMP GRADES 5-9 June 27 – July 1 1 – 5 p.m.

High-school-age students must currently be enrolled at Trinity.

Cost: $120

Trinity High School will host a Drum Line Camp, specifically designed for those students (ages 10-14) interested in learning contemporary marching drumming and African djembe performance. The camp will be especially helpful to those students hoping to participate in the percussion program offered at Trinity, but will also be an enlightening experience for anyone interested in drum line performance and West African music. There will be much “hands on” experience and possibilities for both group and individual instruction. The camp will be held at Trinity High School and led by instructor John Harris.

DEBATE CAMP GRADES 6-8 (BOYS AND GIRLS) & 9 (INCOMING TRINITY STUDENTS)June 20 – 24 10:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Cost: $75 (includes supplies and camp T-shirt)

Campers in this session will learn the fundamentals of Public Forum Debate. They will study argumentation and persuasive techniques while learning how to prepare cases for competition. If time allows, we will offer a student showcase on Friday. Any student attending this camp will also receive coaching from the team throughout the year if they choose to compete with the Wyatt Debate League.

M.C. GRAMMAR AND WRITING SKILLS WORKSHOP GRADES 8-9July 18 – 22 9 – 11 a.m.

Registration is limited.

Cost: $100

Trinity’s grammar enrichment camp is a one-week program emphasizing basic parts of speech, sentence patterns, phrases and clauses. Special attention will be paid to correct use of punctuation and verb tenses. Additionally, writing skills will be addressed.

SPEECH CAMPGRADES 6-8 (BOYS AND GIRLS) & 9 (INCOMING TRINITY STUDENTS)June 20-24 12:45 – 2:45 p.m.

Cost: $75 (includes supplies and camp T-shirt)

Campers in this session will learn the basics of Competitive Speech. They will research and begin preparation for pieces for the upcoming year. If time allows, we will offer a student showcase on Friday. Any student attending this camp will receive coaching from the team throughout the year if they choose to compete.

STUDY SKILLS COURSE FOR BOYS WHO WILL BE FRESHMEN FOR THE 2016–17 SCHOOLYEAR AND FOR STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED AT TRINITY July 11 – 14 1 – 3 p.m.July 18 – 21 1 – 3 p.m.

Cost: $100

Space is limited to the first 35 participants.

The Study Skills course is designed to teach incoming freshmen and current Trinity students basic skills that will enable them to become successful in high school. Students will learn to better comprehend reading assignments, improve retention of material and maximize quiz and test scores in the core areas of Reading, Math and Science. The course will teach effective note-taking, studying tips, and organizational skills.

QUICK RECALL CAMPGRADES 5-8 (BOYS AND GIRLS) & 9 (INCOMING TRINITY STUDENTS)June 13 – 17 Session One 9 a.m. – noon Session Two 1 – 4 p.m.June 20 – 24 Session Three 9 a.m. – noon Session Four 1 – 4 p.m. June 27 – July 1 Session Five 9 a.m. – noon Session Six 1 – 4 p.m.

Course is open to rising 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls, and those who will be 9th grade students at Trinity in the fall.

Each session is limited to 25 registrants.

Cost: $110 if registered by June 6 $125 if registered after June 6 (snacks and camp photo provided) ($10 discount per student for siblings registered)

Trinity’s Quick Recall camp is a five-day summer enrichment program emphasizing retention of information while improving question-answering skills. All Governor’s Cup assessment areas will be covered. Study guides will be distributed daily and review sessions held. Scrimmages on the buzzers will take place daily. Teams will be separated by age and ability. The camp is also open to rising Trinity freshmen.

During this camp, students will investigate and construct projects in rocketry, solar energy, fingerprinting, aquaculture, food science, hydroponics, robotics, bridge-building and lots more. The camp will be held at Trinity High School and is led by Earth & Space Science teacher Marlon Francis.
