PeopleSoft ID number followed by capitalized last and first initial of your name.
In short, that's PSID+L+F
Example
Password for Fudd, Elmer J with PeopleSoft ID 1112222 is1112222 + F + E = 1112222FE

By the way, the Mac Terminal appis a full-fledged UNIX shell
