Training for all Liturgical Ministers

Extraordinary Ministers,

Altar Servers, Ushers and Greeters

Over the next few months, we will offer training for those serving now and for those feeling called to serve as a Liturgical Minister. The training is not meant to ‘correct’ how anyone is serving, but meant to ‘put us all on the same page.’ The goal with this training is to have consistency among all of our churches. Some new practices will be instituted in each of the six churches. All Ministers are asked to attend the session for their individual ministry. The next session will be held for: Ushers, Greeters, and Ministers of Hospitality on Sept. 12, at 6:30 p.m., at St. Alphonsus. For those unable to attend, the sessions will be captured on video and posted on the grouping website. Handbooks and reference materials will be provided. Please RSVP to :

Sharon Serratore 724-926-2984 or

[email protected] To those of you who serve now, thank you for your ministry! For those wondering if you’re called to serve at Mass, pray about this possibility, and how God may be calling you. Basic requirements are: Be a registered member, Confirmed Catholic, attend Liturgical Minister training, and be in compliance with Safe Environment.
