Q: How does financial aid work?

Grant money is typically only available to undergraduate students, and not everyone will qualify.

Q: How long does it take to earn your degree?

A: An IWU student can graduate in less time than you might think!

Courses are accelerated and designed for busy, working adults. Students take courses one at a time, one after the other. Each course lasts around six to eight weeks.

The time a program takes varies depending on the degree and how many credits you are able to transfer in.

Q: Can I transfer credits from another school?

A: IWU has a generous transfer policy and accept most credits from other regionally accredited colleges and universities.

An official evaluation of transcripts received from previous schools is conducted before a student begins our program to determine how many credits are accepted.

Q: Can I get credit for my work experience?A: At IWU, you won’t earn credit for your work experience, but there is a Portfolio process that could lead to credits for specialized training such as certificates or licenses.

A specialist evaluates these types of training and can let you know if they are worth college credits.
