Well, we have all the tools, materials & instructions you need to build your own! Here are some things you’ll need to build your fire pit! You can find these supplies at your Orscheln store! It’s best to choose a spot that is at least 25 feet away from any buildings & overhanging trees. The average fire pit is 36-45 inches across & 12 inches tall. The first thing to do is form your circle. Cut a piece of string half the size of the diameter you’re making your fire pit (if your pit is going to be 40 inches in diameter, cut a 20 inch piece of string). Tie the string on a stake. Tie the other end of the string to a paint can. Secure the stake in the location, location, location! ground. Pull the string with the paint can taut. Walk around the stake & use the paint to make a perfect circle. Next it’s time to dig a hole! This is to remove any flammable materials under the pit. Ready to get started?

Choosing the right location for your fire pit is very important. It’s best to choose a spot that is at least 25 feet away from any buildings & overhanging trees. The average fire pit is 36-45 inches across & 12 inches tall.

Stack your stones around your circle outline. Stack until it reaches around 12 inches tall. You can also find a galvanized fire ring at Orscheln to add to the inside of your stone wall for added stability & safety. Be sure to make your circle the correct size to fit the ring & build the stones around the ring to insure a good fit. Fill your pit with gravel or sand.

Once your pit is complete, grab some s’more stuff & some friends, kick back & enjoy your hard work!
