E-WasteE-Waste is no longer collected from the bulk verge collections. Dedicated e-Waste drop off days are held throughout the year for residents to recycle e-Waste items.
Keep an eye on the City’s website and local media for details of these days. Alternatively, you can take your e-Waste to Tamala Park Recycling Centre or the Balcatta Road Transfer Station at any time of the year, free of charge.
E-Waste includes televisions, PCs, laptops and all associated computer equipment. CD/DVD/blu-ray players, video recorders, stereos and cameras, a full list of items can be found on the City’s website.
MattressesThe City is now recycling mattresses as part of bulk collection. Please place your mattresses separately from the rest of your bulk rubbish. It will be collected separately, after the rest of the bulk rubbish is collected.
Green WastePlease remember to place all organic material in your green lid bin including all garden waste and food scraps. The content of your green lid bin is delivered to a compost processing plant in Neerabup, where the organics are converted into market quality compost.
Tree prunings can be put out as part of your verge collection, please keep separate from other items and ensure they are no longer than 1.5m with ends facing the street.
More waste information can be found on the City’s website at joondalup.wa.gov.au
