Your Local Area Coordinator and the NDIS

What is an LAC?

A Local Area Coordinator is called an

LAC for short.

Your LAC will help you with the NDIS.

Your LAC will help you

• understand the NDIS

• make your NDIS plan

• set up your plan when it is approved

Your LAC works for Vinnies, an

organisation that helps people.

Your LAC will listen to you

and support you.

Your Local Area Coordinator

Your LAC will phone you after you

get your letter from the NDIS.

Your LAC will set up a meeting with you.

You can choose what time to meet

with your LAC.

This meeting is called your

planning meeting.

Your LAC will contact you

You can have the meeting at

your home, at the LAC office, or

somewhere else.

You can have other people

at the meeting

• family member

• support person

• advocate
