quite connected in my lo-cal community with momsgroups, organized churchevents, and networkingevents in the Twin Cities. What inspires you? I loveto aect the lives of othersin a positive way, and drawother people into a deeperrelationship with God. Us-ing music and songwritingto accomplish this is oneof the greatest joys of mylife. My husband and littlegirl inspire me daily as well, and I strive to make themproud of me.For fun? I love everythingmusic related, from writing

music, to playing it, to sing-ing, to watching live shows

of other bands. I also en-joy normal activities too, like biking, hiking throughnature, reading, watchinggirly movies, and hangingout with the ones I love.

Motto: Whatever you do inlife, do it with passion.People are surprised tolearn: I used to have ex-treme stage fright. It wasntuntil after gaining someconfidence in high schooland college that I realizedI was really meant to be aperformer. One of the peo-ple I have to thank mostfor helping me build thatconfidence was my highschool theater director, Vic-toria Sleger, who workedat Boylan High School forseveral years and, sadly, passed away this year. I willalways remember her and

be grateful to her for believ-ing in me.

Dont toss that jarEmpty jelly, pasta sauce and picklejars can certainly go in the recyclingbin after being rinsed out. But reus-

ing them once, twice or for years isthe best way to honor the resourcesthat went into pro-ducing them. Havinga supply of glass jarson hand can also cutdown on the need tobuy plastic storagepieces. See tips onLife&Style board.
