CHALLENGE: PayPal®, a subsidiary of eBay®, is constantly challenged with showcasing and communicating their product benefits to their most tech savvy customers, affiliates and employees. No matter what the communication vehicle is, it needs to communicate the brand characteristics that they have come to be known for - trust, reliability and a daily willingness to go above and beyond the promises of their competitors.

SOLUTION: Fortunately, PayPal recognized that Proforma could help them promote the strengths behind their brand and establish a strong market presence through a variety of print, promotional product and electronic methods. One of our most recent solutions included the development of a custom box with a USB Smart Button that links new visitors to eBay-PayPal® for information about the companies.

RESULTS: The initial success of the program allowed it to easily transition into the main component of a new-hire package that would contain information about all of eBay's affiliates, including Skype®, Verisign®, PayPal® and others. Other current support items include their annual company-wide eBay® calendar, the employee rewards website, company store, eBay volunteer shirts, global building gifts and a Take-Your-Child-To-Work Day custom backpack filled with crayons, pin wheels, a Frisbee and coloring books.

How Proforma Can Help Printing ServicesProforma’s Print Scores a TKO

CHALLENGE: A Las Vegas casino came to Proforma with a special request. They had commissioned artist Leroy Neiman to create a special poster promoting an Oscar de la Hoya fight they were hosting. Included with the mailed poster would be an invitation for select customers to attend the event. The casino wanted Proforma to produce this unique artwork on canvas.

What's more, the vision that the casino had for the poster was a bit out of the ordinary. They wanted it to look like a piece of art cut from a picture in a museum; therefore, each canvas needed to have rough edges. They also wanted each poster to have a 3-D effect.

SOLUTION: In order to meet the unique demands of this project, Proforma came up with a unique silkscreen technique that would build each color on top of the other, creating the 3-D effect. They were able to source, print and package 17,000 pieces of canvas to complete the project in less than three weeks.

RESULTS: The fight and promotion were both huge successes. Invitees commented on the originality and visually stunning impact of the print pieces. The casino was thrilled with the results. In the end, Proforma really put the 'punch' to a unique printing project!

How Proforma Can Help Business DocumentsEfficient Forms Are a Snap for Proforma

CHALLENGE: An efficient and useful organizational paperwork system is critical to the operation of any facility. A large hospital system reached out to Proforma for assistance with redesigning their paperwork and developing a process for emergency room patient care and discharge.

The current patient information forms for emergency room admission, care and discharge were no longer useful. They were difficult to understand and required too much time to fill out accurately. The hospital staff needed a form that would be effective, efficient and accurate to streamline the admission and discharge process.

SOLUTION: To address all of the necessary components required by the staff, Proforma converted the existing form into two separate documents. The Admission Form would be reduced from a 3-part 22” form to a 2-part 11” form, saving money and time. The Patient Care Order sheet, the real benefit to the new system, now allowed the staff to provide patients with a discharge receipt and medical orders upon discharge.

On the back of the form, a 3-part, 7-5/8” snap set transferred the discharge instructions to another part of the form using a special print coating. Once completed, the hospital would be left with a neat, 8-1/2 x 11” sheet, three-hole punched and ready for filing.

RESULTS: The end result was an easy-to-use, understandable form that served the needs of the emergency room staff. It allowed them to provide the patients with a precise account of their patient care, follow-up procedures and home-care medical instructions.

CHALLENGE: How do you get more notice at a tradeshow than anyone else? Cybex Exercise Equipment was faced with this dilemma. They had purchased a spectacular, 6,000 square foot space at an international tradeshow occurring less than two months away and needed a tangible return on their investment.

SOLUTION: Proforma met with Cybex and decided to utilize videos that would help attract attention and keep passers-by at their location. While Cybex had existing video footage, they were looking for something that would make an impact. The challenge presented to Proforma was the short timeframe.

RESULT: After hearing Cybex's goals, Proforma was confident that the project could be completed on time. Proforma took care of everything from writing the script to filming the videos, and adding dynamic music, narration and special effects.

The result was a pair of videos that turned heads and delivered Cybex's message with an unforgettable impact. Cybex couldn't have been more pleased. Proforma discusses with them about the other ways we can meet their multimedia, printing and promotional product needs.
