It all started 42 years ago when my father Ralph Santell Sr. took me with him to work on the milk delivery

truck when I was four. We worked together again when I was 14 doing general contracting and small home

improvement projects. When he eventually went to work in the store fixture industry in 1983, I was still

in high school. We eventually teamed up again in New York City in 1989 for a small store fixture company

in Harlem that made shelving, metal check stands and walk in coolers. I obviously did not realize then we

would end up working together in our family business we started in 1992 which he along with my sister

appropriately named... Storflex.

Storflex was created through his vision of a store fixture manufacturer that was flexible to its customer’s

needs. The business would be driven by the customers, not the company… dictating to them what size it

would be or what color we happened to be painting that day. We were trained to ask, what would you like,

what color you would like it to be, and when do you want it … and if you need something special that creates

an effective presentation to your customers to increase sales, we can help! When we started some potential

customers said “come back in 5 years if you are still in business”, it was a difficult obstacle to overcome.

In 1997 we introduced our Z line shelving system that would help us compete with our much larger

competitors. Today that line exists as it was introduced. We have not “valued engineered “ our product line

as our competition has. We have not compromised our product for the sake of profits or rising raw material

costs. Instead our unique direct sales channels, small but effective administrative overhead and investment

in new and efficient equipment have allowed us to offer the same product we introduced 13 years ago

without compromising quality or capacity standards. Our shelving systems remain the strongest standard

offering in the industry and as a result possibly the most durable. Our walk in cooler system remains

uncompromised as well and are used by some of our shelving customers or purchased independently of

any of our other products. We also offer many custom merchandising solutions we developed with our

customers input.

As we celebrate 20 years in business my family and I would like to thank all of our customers and business

partners, both in the past and present, who have supported us during this fantastic run. We remain excited

and dedicated to the successful ventures we embark on with our customers on a daily basis. We continue to

carry my father’s message of Integrity, Service, Quality and Value that remains the cornerstone of Storflex.

Logistics

STORFLEX has extensive experience in shipping within the United States and Worldwide. Our facility is ideally located for transportation to all major market and ports within a one to three day time frame. We maintain partnerships with freight providers to ensure the best possible delivery, service and prices. Our in house traffic team offers services to support our customers whether its delivery notification and shipment tracking, we can supply any special service upon request!

Located in the Southern Tier of New York, our 169,000 square foot manufacturing facility is equipped with the latest equipment and technology. STORFLEX manufactures and supplies product lines that include metal and wood display fixtures together with walk in cooler and freezer panel systems, allowing us to be your “one stop shop”. STORFLEX continues to improve its facilities, by updating manufacturing equipment and implementing production controls to maintain quality and service to our customers. These investments and controls increased production capacity enabling us to provide the same level of service to our new customers without compromising the outstanding service and “top shelf” quality products our current customers have come to rely on and is still second to none!

All materials and production methods are chosen with environmental protection as a top priority. We meetworldwide acceptance with our methods by using:• Non-CFC urethane insulation, eliminating solvent cleaning of foam insulation equipment by installing

innovative hot water flushing systems.• All structural framing is produced using our most renewable resource lumber! The scrap lumber is packaged

for use by local entities for heating purposes.• Wood shaving and sawdust are collected and donated to local farmers, for use as bedding for animals.• All adhesives used at STORFLEX, are water based - no solvents or carriers! Metal wash tanks are chemically

treated and re-circulated to protect the ground water. We use no solvent based paints in any finishing process.

• Reclaimed powder paint is captured to coat non-visible metal parts.• Product is shipped blanket wrapped where practical. Shelving products are palletized to eliminate packing

material disposal for our customers.• All metal scrap is removed by certified recyclers only! By using recycled paper for printing, copying and

advertising, as well as using soy inks for printing, we are eliminating needless waste!• We participate in local recycling efforts, by compressing and collecting waste paper for recycling and much

more!
