By September 2019 we will have invested a further £1 million to boost creative industries at the Cauldon Campus. The investment will provide all the latest technology, resources, software and equipment for a range of courses including graphic design, games design and development, film, TV, media,

radio, theatrical make-up, performing arts, ceramics, product design and photography. Other developments include new Virtual Reality Suites on both campuses and new Science Labs at the Burslem Campus, as we continue to invest in the future of our students, the College and the City.

DISTRICT HEAT ACADEMY, BURSLEM CAMPUSThe District Heat Network Academy sees Stoke on Trent College partner with national and international organisations and companies, including Stoke-on-Trent City Council and the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Local Enterprise Partnership, to train staff and students to design, supply and install the £500 million investment in Stoke on Trent’s future energy system over the next six years. The program involves the first sections of a future city-wide heat network, new Energy-from-Waste installation, geothermal heat sourcing and storage solution, high speed internet connection and solar and energy efficiency solutions in buildings.

The Burslem Campus is home to our Engineering & Motor Vehicle, Construction and Science Departments. Burslem Campus has all the facilities you need, including a restaurant, learning resource centre, IMI accredited motor vehicle workshops, construction workshops, engineering centre boasting the widest range of equipment in the region, Nu-Build eco houses, welding booths, science labs, renewable technology training rigs and more.

I am now studying at the University of South Wales.

ADVANCED LEARNING LOANSLoans are available to meet the tuition costs of selected Level 3 to 6 qualifications.

Loans are available to individuals who are:

• Aged 19 or over at the start of their course

• Resident in the UK (minimum 3 years)

• Have not previously had a loan to do the same level and type of qualification

Loans will not be means tested, be subject to credit checks or employment status. You won’t have to pay anything back until you are earning over £25,725 and the loan will be written off after 30 years. If the loan is for an Access to Higher Education programme and you subsequently go on to complete a higher education course, you won’t have to pay back your Advanced Learning Loan.

Available for selected Level 3 to 6 courses, the Advanced Learning Loan can pay your tuition fees and you don’t pay anything back until you are earning over £25,725 a year. It’s not a loan, there’s no credit check and your eligibility doesn’t depend upon your household income.
