Also, consider any taxes you mayneed to pay and how you pay this in the destination country and ensure you haveenough funds and check how to pay it.

Boarding passes and any travel documents for your transport including flights,ships and rail etc. including transfers to and from your hotel or accommodation.

Luggage and any weight limits or restrictions. Think about what you can andcan't take in hand your luggage to avoid having items taken from you. These willvary per travel operator therefore it is best to check, these include things such asliquids, banned items such as sharp items.

Access to your travel insurance policy - either stored on your device or the papercopy (it is a good idea to save the emergency number should you need to make aclaim or get advice when overseas).

Medical card and details should an emergency arise including your 'EHIC' or'GHIC' card or 'E111' if valid. Remember to check where these can be used andhow they work and what is available around your time of travel.

Do you need any jabs or medical tablets ahead of travelling to the country you areplanning to visit? Check with your travel agent or Doctor.
