Coverage research article Lumsdaine and Vermeer in Harvard Business Review

A recent study by Robin Lumsdaine, visiting professor at Erasmus School of Economics and the econometrics-alumni Stephanie Vermeer (which appeared in the journal Demography in April 2015), has been covered in a Harvard Business Review article.

Robin Lumsdaine and Stephanie Vermeer analyzed longitudinal data from over 47,000 women and found that the arrival of a grandchild, holding all other factors constant, raises by 8.5% the likelihood that this woman will retire. That impact increases 1.5% with each additional grandchild.

A morning with Robert F. Kennedy jr.

Tuesday 16 June 2015 Robert F. Kennedy jr. will visit Erasmus University Rotterdam from 8.30 until 11.30 hours. Students are more than welcome to attend his lecture ‘How to do business in an ethical way’.

How to do business in an ethical way? What would an agreement look like with a different – cleaner, healthier and more equitable – future? Change begins with new rules and a new mentality. That is a job for the next generation. Therefore The Optimist and Seven Mountains jointly organise a unique morning Tuesday 16 June on Erasmus University Rotterdam. This morning will be exclusively attendable by students and will be led by American lawyer and environmentalist Robert F. Kennedy jr.
