The Healthy Worker
• The award winning Healthy Worker programme running since January 2015
• Over 200 people have taken part; the course is open to anyone • Large majority of people attending experience improvements in self-
care and self-esteem and a reduction in anxiety
• Fantastic feedback from those who have taken part • Additional trainers being trained to enable us to extend the
programme in 2017

What’s next? • We are working on how we can help staff get better and faster access to
our own mental health services
• We are establishing a network of trained people who are able to support staff who experience violence or trauma at work
• New Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing policy and a Supporting
Attendance at Work policy (that replaces our sickness absence policy) will be launched this year
• Aiming to achieve the Workplace Wellbeing Charter standards of
excellence in Mental Health and Health and Safety this year • Trust-wide wellbeing events and activities
