To : Whom it may concern SUBJECT : REPORT FOR YOUTH IMBIZO & CAREER EXHIBITION FROM : Kenneth Keamogetse NgakantsI DATE : 21 June 2016 Event Date : 17 June 2016 Event Time :10:30am-15:30 Upcoming Event : Women Entrepreneurship Conference & Expo( WECE) Event Date : 26 August 2016 Brand Simplicity Enterprise is a registered private company established by CUT students from Thaba Nchu ‘Keamogetse Kenneth Ngakantsi (3rd Year Internal Auditing) and Vuyani Bongani Masimini (3RD Year Clinical Technology) which received a prize of R10 000 from Academic Development and Support a department aimed at development of graduates in to global citizens at the Central University of Technology ,Private Company that liaise with Basic Education, Entrepreneurs and Institutions of Higher Education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing critical thinking ,public speaking and soft skills the skills to become socially responsible business leaders , It has erected a library in ST Augustines Primary School at Thaba Nchu which should be replicated in the Motheo district as part of its graduate attribute . The company specialise in erecting libraries in the public schools , establish debate and public speaking teams in school as well as in the university that are organised workshops ,conventions ,training and competitions on academic writing, debate and public speaking competitions .Participating learners form teams on their schools and stand a chance to participate provincially and nationally the projects aimed at improving the quality of life and standard of education for learners. An annual series of regional and national competitions provides a forum for teams to be evaluated by guests from the Department of Basic Education serving as judges. Brand Simplicity Enterprise together with Central University of Technology and its private partners hosted Youth Imbizo and career exhibition on the 27th of May 2016 , As an organiser I was unsatisfied by the attendance that decreased significantly from the previous event for reasons such as Extended public holiday and on going matric examination the event started at 10:30am until 15:30, various sponsorships and donors were sourced including Boxer, Metro fruits, Cold rink from TWIZZA,bread from premier and pioneer foods , department of sport and recreation and Mmabana Cultural Centre

27 May we hosted the library pre launch ,career expo and inter school intellect tournament at Selosesha Public Library , then on June 17th we hosted Youth Imbizo and Career exhibition were the objective was to celebrate the youth day in a more relevant and practical fashion relating directly to the needs of the youth in 2016 ,the objective was achieved though we are not impressed with the impact which was triggered by poor attendance due to unforeseen variables such on going examinations and extended long weekend The similar approach was employed though we received various donations from institutions such as CUT that provided the name tags , department of sport and recreation that provideD the printing sponsorship ,pioneer and premier foods sponsored bread and Twizza provided the cold rinks for the learners and markdown on items from Boxer and Metro fruits

We had public speaking ,debate and poetry candidates from various schools showcasing Their talent , the debate team will be registered next year March to go against University team at Wits University

Unprepared variables such as on going examinations and extended public holiday affected the attendance and participation significantly as though the educators did not have direct custody over the learners as it would be the case if the learners were to be taken from the school during working hours , we however took the incident as a learning curve

Guests and exhibitors were invited to network with the learners and community and provide the information necessary to address the social ills among this was ABASA(Advancement of Black Accountants in Southern Africa ) ,CUT, Motheo TVET ,Protea Hotel ,Department of labour ,NYDA, Kulemo Innovations ,Premier foods and Dr Thekisho and Civil society

Protea Hotel provided invaluable insights on their operations and occupations

Department of Labour and Motheo TVET joined us to shared with us their services and all relevant information , we will be honored to have sustainable relations with our guests

’ NYDA was among our valued guests sharing with the youth the informartion that can change their lives

Jeppe college was one of our valued guests and provided invaluable information and

directives on their programmes

CUT Peer Mentorship Cordinator was one of our disguished guests

DR Thekisho was one of our distinguished guests and he added a significant value to the

event sharing the danger of drugs and the negative repercussions

Premier Foods in addition to them being our primary bread donors and exhibitors they

had an outside showcase were leaners were showcasing their talent after the exhibition
