What We Seek Christ Episcopal Church, Charlotte, has a diverse and passionate membership of over 5,000. We’re located in the beautiful neighborhood of Myers Park, a fifteen-minute drive from downtown Charlotte. We are a church on a mission to equip and empower people to Love God, Care for Each Other, and Serve the world in the name of Christ. We seek to be Christ’s Church in the world. We are seeking to call a creative, energetic, and ambitious Youth Minister to call Christ Church their spiritual home. We envision great Sunday experiences, small groups, retreats, and unique formation opportunities for our youth and their families. With an eye towards an increasingly mobile generation we seek someone well adept in technology and who can communicate on a wide variety of platforms. We are blessed to have tremendous lay involvement and we seek to expand and grow the opportunities for our youth to explore, grow, and deepen their faith and relationship with God. What Our Youth Minister Will Do?

• Equip and empower youth (middle and high school students) and their

families to love God, care for each other, and serve the world.

• Take the lead in supporting Youth Ministry by imagining and leading

classes, retreats, Bible studies, and small groups while collaborating

with the entire Formation team and working in concert with the other

Youth Minister.

• Coordinate and promote activities to cultivate the spiritual lives of the

youth through a variety of media and electronic communications.

• Help us cultivate relationships with youth, parents, and families while

building relationships in the community.

• Will recruit, equip, and empower a diverse and energetic lay volunteer

team through training, mentoring, and modeling.

• Will integrate youth ministry programs into the vision and model of life

long formation for all.

• Plan and lead youth pilgrimages and mission trips around the world.

• Understand and promote that the “faith journey” is a shared journey,

which requires you to be both a leader and follower.
