THERE ARE ABOUT 60 YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS IN THE UK.

All youth organizations are divided into three groups: 1. non-political organizations, 2. Youth organizations

associated with political parties,

3. youth organizations controlled by religious organizations.

The two largest non-political youth organizations association Scouts and Girl Scouts. There are about 1300000 boys and girls in them. Membership is voluntary.

Scout Association was created in 1908 by Baden Powell. His idea was to prepare young men in their display, alarm, tying, first aid, and all the skills that will flow from camping and public life. The most important thing for scouts was to promise that he would do his best to fulfill his duty.

In the Boy Scouts were left handshake, special badge and motto, "Be prepared." Scout Law includes "honor, obedience, cheerfulness, thrift and cleanliness in thought and deed.

Scouting program was designed for boys from 11 to 14 (15), but in 1916, Baden Powell presented a program for young people. He called their cubs. There are several other non-political organization: Combined Cadet Force, Sea Cadet Corps, Woodcraft Folk, Youth Hostels Association, the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs, "Greenpeace.«

There are several youth organizations associated with political parties. Youth Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (YCND), which brings together young people and organize mass meetings and rallies, demonstrations, protest marches and festivals. It cooperates with the National Union of Students.

Religious organizations and youth groups aimed at helping the elderly and working in hospitals. There are even groups where young people help released prisoners then start a new life. Religious organizations are paying attention not only to the study of religious beliefs but involve youth in activities such as music festivals and amateur theater.
